Question about TSLRCM and M4-78 (French Version of game)

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I am playing with TSLRCM 1.8.2 with the game (KotOR II - French version.) I would like play M4-78 EP with it. Is this possible to do? If so, how do I make it happen?

Thanks

From the M4-78 EP's read me:

Please note that for now, M4-78 Enhancement Project is only compatible with English version of a game. If possible, we'll try to support it with translations same way we supported TSLRCM - but given amount of text on the planet, it may take a while to translate.

In the meantime, it's *possible* to run this mod with non-english versions of a game using DLGConverter - visit our forums for further assistance.

Ebon Hawk

I have some news.

I have used the DLGConverter for every files .utc, .uti, .dlg, .mod and ERT Editor for 702KOR file. A little bug on Korriban : I see Lonna Vash's body in the cage but the dialog are correct. I can access to the droid planet on the galaxy map after the speak with T3.

The video where the Ebon Hawk arrives at the planet plays fine. There are problems though: In fact when I exit the Ebon Hawk, i go to the main menu. I saw a video on YouTube and normally after the Ebon Hawk arrives at the landing pad, there is a cut-scene where all the characters are outside of the Ebon Hawk. How do I fix my issue?

(Sorry for my bad english)

Any suggestion?

For no English versionof the game, maybe that the problem comes of the reading of files 801DRO-809DRO (Modules folder and Lips folder).

I looked in Override folder the concerning files 801DRO-809DRO. I notice that all the files .mdx for 801-809 weigh 0 octets.

Is it normal?

Good evening,

I'd like to' join this conversation too! It's the fourth time for me of playing KOTOR 2 but the first with your amazing mods (restoration mod 1.8.2 and M4-78) on the Italian version of the game. I've already read the incompatibility issues between the m4-78 and the not-English version of the game. I have fixed the issue in korriban after finding the Jedi master's datapad and the hologram cutscenes. But now I get the same issue on the ebon hawk when I try to speak with T3. I've already tried to use dlg editor on files 801-809DRO but it doesn't work. Anyone can suggest me which files have to been modified?

Donatino88: t3m4.dlg, which you can find in the override, should fix your issue. To be safe, you can convert all dlgs you can find in your override to your language - can't go wrong with that.

Keep in mind that others have reported crash in the droid planet's modules after language conversion. I haven't investigated myself but you may consider running a game with English dialog.tlk for the duration of the planet.

Bit of a late reply but yes. Empty MDX files are used for animated cameras; all the data is stored inside MDL file of the same name but MDX is required as to not crash the game; even if said MDX is empty.

It doesn't really make sense but hey, that's TSL engine for you ;)

Excuse me for my ignorance, but how I run the game with English dialog.tlk? Anyway with the English dialogues, the restoration mod will became incompatible? When I installed it I selected Italian as the game language.

You'd have to get English dialog.tlk - it's easy to find if you google it. If you do it, remember to backup TLK file of your language version first, and swap it back after M4-78.
