Has anyone here played this? If so does it hold up and should I get it? I've never played it and it is only $20 on steam.

If you'll play the game I strongly advise you to use the latest unofficial patch.

However Steam version refused to work for me without unofficial patch, while the non-Steam worked fine... :/

It's nearly impossible to find (mine wasn't exactly legal, I just bought it from Steam to own it legally)

I recommend it for sure. I played it right after it came out, and the storyline is very good as is the game play. If you enjoy it, you may also want to give Still Life a spin. Also a great story, and a lot of good puzzles if you like those.

thanks, but upon further inspection i think i'll wait and see if it will be on the Holiday Sale later this year.

Chances are high. I'm pretty sure it was 5 bucks during the summer sale a few months back.
