Malkior 476 Posted October 15, 2012 Holy crap! A new solution to this problem has, um, presented itself since the introduction of the KotOR Collection on DVD. Use UniWS and not the Squizzy patcher. I think you all can figure it out from there. And yes, it works on a patched installation from the original CDs, so I'm playing TSL in widescreen at native resolution again. W00t! What do you mean a "Patched Version"? I have uniws, but when I try to use the utility it has TSL grayed-out. Is there a different version of uniws, or do I do something else? Also, the HUD patches all make my HUD either unusably offset or completely non-visible. Is there a patch that works with 16x9 monitors which puts the HUD in the right place? evil q 16 Posted October 15, 2012 You have to get the right file for it to work. Can't go into detail too much here.
Extreme110 4 Posted October 17, 2012 The last time I saw Squizzys, I'm sure it wasn't a no-cd, it just changed a couple bytes in the .exe. I could be wrong, but I really doubt it does anything other than modify the resolution.
evil q 16 Posted October 18, 2012 Squizzy's patcher has always required a no-cd. That's why it always came bundled with one.
Extreme110 4 Posted October 21, 2012 The one I downloaded only had Squizzy's repatcher. It modified both the .exe and mss32.dll or whatever it's called.

evil q 16 Posted October 24, 2012 The one I downloaded only had Squizzy's repatcher. It modified both the .exe and mss32.dll or whatever it's called. But does it work on a fully patched game?
Extreme110 4 Posted October 25, 2012 Haven't tested it, and I probably won't, as windowed works perfectly for me on my 1366x768 display.
drunklol 4 Posted October 25, 2012 Haven't tested it, and I probably won't, as windowed works perfectly for me on my 1366x768 display. Is the game resolution, you are playing on, 1366x768 or is it 1280x768. If you are playing without problems(not visible dialogue options) on 1366x768 could you explain step by step how you have achieved that. If I misunderstood you please dont mind me. I just get nervous of the black bars on the sides of my display
Extreme110 4 Posted October 25, 2012 Nah, playing 800x600. I wish I could have been more helpful, but I gave up on the resolution changers when my old install was breaking down and I had to figure out what the problem was (was a variety of things including a faulty graphic card driver and a broken texture mod). Extreme110 4 Posted October 26, 2012 I tried it on my old computer, but as I had no interest in the speeder races I didn't test to see if that bug was fixed and subsequently the patch was applied to the 1.0b .exe.
evil q 16 Posted October 26, 2012 Oh, OK. I was confused there for a minute. Yeah, I don't swoop race much either. In fact, I probably wouldn't have known that the Carbon fixed .exe wasn't really patched if it hadn't been pointed out to me by Achilles. Being able to tell if an .exe is patched or not is actually pretty simple. With an unpatched .exe, party NPCs will sound off every time they use security (and maybe demolitions). With a patched .exe they don't talk nearly as often. That was probably the most obvious change made by the 1.0b patch.
