Can Kotor games have a Multiplayer mode

Recently looked through some of the mods and even Multiplayer mods for primarly single-player games and suddenly got myself a question - Can Kotor games have a Multiplayer? Or could it be possible to use one of the 2 games Engines to build a Multiplayer type experience?
