Okay, let's ask a few questions to narrow down the possibilities here.
1. Does TSLRCM add anything new to the module?
2. Has the onEnter script been changed?
3. When you say the model files have been deleted, which specific files are you referring to? In other words, when I'm talking about the twi'lek dancer head and Corrun Falt head, which files do you think those are associated with?
4. What other mods do you have installed?
5. Does the game freeze, or does it reset? (There is a difference).
6. Open up the .mod file for the cantina. (2XXTEL.mod, X standing for the correct numbers). If there are models in there, take them out.
I can answer #4 and #5 for you Vp.

5.) when i delete all the mdl/mdx files it goes all the way to the end of the loading bar when im trying to enter the cantina, then it freezes,
strangely enough i ran a test that bead sent me today and the cantina now only loads 2 telosians, and even when i go back and delete the test files the xbox still loads the 2 telosians in the cantina, nothing else. very strange, almost like the behavior changed.

lol maybe too much for the xbox ram-wise, it has been known to crash due to that...
how could that be too much ram-wise? We need some input from VP on how to go about sorting the cantina issue.

Hey Varsity, do you happen to know any reason as to why or how the twilek dancers could be causing the freeze-up on the xbox? Apparently its not falt but something else in the cantina locking up the xbox.
When you remove all creatures from it, it loads fine with no lockups, but when you load up falt and the dancers it freezes up.

Ok thanks for the reply HH. We will see what happens. So far things are coming along nicely on the xbox side of things.
In the meantime ill check the changelog and see if i can find anything relevant to the cantina itself as thats the only issue right now.

Thanks for the response, the masked assassin part is fixed and resolved and working on the xbox kotor tslrcm, however the issue now is when you modify the cantina file to load without any characters or creatures it does fine, but when you try to load it normally, it freezes on the loading screen the bar goes all the way to the end.
Right now trying to sort out why its loading all the way but freezing when the bar gets to the end. Something in the cantina is causing a freeze-up and deleting the mdl/mdx for falt should revert him back to normal or so to speak. Just trying to figure out what else in the cantina specifically besides falt could be the problem since it can load fine without characters or creatures. Another test was performed with only falt and the twilek dancers and it still froze up for some reason.
Thanks again for your input, ill try to seek out VP as well.

yes i have to agree with you lol. It is funny, I'm just too hardheaded to quit, and laughed at myself even after i went back and read through it.
I Hope at least 80 percent will work though, i dont mind missing a few things.

Well, it can be done, just a few things need to be done to get it running on the xbox side and still be able to get about 85% percent of content.
I dont mind putting in the time or trying to get it to run, it makes for a fun hobby when im on "me" time from the g/f.
By the way, let me know when take a look sapiens.

just copied my xbox game on to the pc, i am going to work ill check out the differences between xbox & pc files and see what i come up with, once i'm done my mod i'll focus more on an xbox-friendly tslrcm
sounds great! Im willing to put in the time and help out and do what i can. And thanks for the info on re-sizing. Ill Start messing around with it and see what i can do.

Well, by removing the .mdl and .mdx files, you're about halfway done as far as compatibility.
Secondly, any extra texture files you're going to run into, you can resize them to about half the size they are normally. 256x256 and 64x64 are going to be the optimal resolutions you can work with (64x64 is for small icons though). On a lucky day, you can get about 4MB of TGA files to load at a time without freezing (that's 4 512x512 files). Change them down to 256x256 and that's 16 textures. Don't worry too much about a drop in quality, most textures on the xbox version are downscaled to 256x256 anyways.
Also, if you run into loading screens, those HAVE to go down to 512x512. And that's only if they're NEW loading screens. If they're just repeats there's a way around that.
Now, concerning the models, there something we CAN do (sort of) in order to provide an easy fix (I say easy in the sense that you don't have to edit too many files, but the editing is in fact, hellish).
There's unfortunately, nothing we can do about the custom animations though. We will have to do without those, but in all honesty, there are only like 2 places where new animations are used, and only 1 really matters as far as gameplay goes.
Now, the biggest issue you're going to run into is the Battle on Dantooine. The way 1.7 worked, made it impossible for my xbox to run it successfully. There were simply too many enemies spawned simultaneously and my xbox was lagging like an old woman in July in Arizona. This is where I had to stop playing because it was impossible to get past.
Moral of the story: there are some things we can substitute with xbox-friendly files, but there are a few things that simply would have to be rewritten in order to work properly on the XBOX

First thing yes, i definitely removed the mdl/mdx files so the easy part is over haha. As far as texture files, you mean the .tga files correct? I dont recall any loading screens in the mod as i will have to go back and look and see if they are.
My first question is how do i resize the texture files? Sorry if that sounds kinda noobish, i just honestly do not know, lol.
As far as the models go and editing the files, if you could provide more info or point me to where i need to look im willing to do and try it. Bottom line, i am willing to put in the time to do these things, i actually would like the challenge. Also concerning the cutscene animations, im not too concerned about that or those, I can do without them as well.
And once i can make it to dantooine, i can cross that bridge when i come to it as far as the lagging issue. As stated, i am willing and ready to put in some work to get everything smoothly even if it means those few things have to go.

Speaking as an ex-TSL xbox fan, the PC version is going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. If you're that concerned about playing with a controller, you can always just plug one into the USB port and map the controls with a program like Xpadder or something comparable.
But yeah, if you decide to try to get things to work on the XBOX, you're going to have roughly a 15% drop in quality. Large sections of the mod would have to be redone to properly a TSLRCM that's Xbox-friendly.

I was hoping to hear from you soon, lol. Its not really as much a matter of having a controller as it is im just a huge xbox fan and really would want to see it on the box even if it is 15% drop or so.
Im happy with 85% of the mod running, i think tslrcm is one the best mod out there as well.
The question is, is there anyone with enough knowledge that would be willing to help get it running and do it? I definitely am not giving up hope and am willing to help or do anything i can to achieve that goal.

You might aswell ask for options to remove Kaah, the HK-Factory, Nar Shaddaa sections, or pretty much cut up TSLRCM.
As stated before, that's just not feasible. And thus, not happening.
Thank you for your patience with me Hassat Hunter, I'm Just as an avid kotor 1 and 2 modder and xbox player still even after these years, just trying to figure out how to get this great experience on xbox, thats all.
Not really a pc gamer guy just cant get off the consoles, i grew up playing them and mainly use the pc obviously to mod for xbox and other projects and the like.
Definitely not trying to annoy anyone on here or anything, so hopefully i dont come off that way.
EDIT** perhaps at this point, there is no harm in trying to re-size the textures, i just need to figure out how to do it, since i have never done that before.

oh yea, lmao, is there any way possible just for us xbox users to point the mod away from any instances of mdl/mdx model changes and just use those few instances where mdl/mdx was needed and use vanilla xbox content to get around those couple instances? , that way we could still enjoy most of the added content with no freezing due to model issues?
Im very interested in all of this, and know there has to be a way. Maybe just not even use said files at all and use the rest that work.
I know this far, peragus was smooth sailing, the only exception being the jittery in-game cutscenes being used instead of the other, and that can easily be fixed on this end, just not use that mod it, i dont think its tslrcm anyways since its added on with this even though its awesome.

Not gonna give up just yet, i got it to run on the xbox and alot of people seemed to think that was not even possible. With a little tweaking im sure xbox owners could get a great experience from this too.
I wonder if the cantina or telos used or was supposed to use any of the mdl/mdx files i deleted but it still should not make the xbox freeze like that.

And get into trouble later due to even more missing files anyway.
I'll keep this thread updated as i go along. Thanks for the input, im really hoping somehow us xboxers can get the most of this mod as well since i think its the best experience and the one everyone should get to enjoy.
Just experienced the first crash in the game on Telos when you come across the 2 mercenaries that are giving the alien a hard time in the cantina. After dispatching of the 2 guys and not taking the aliens reward, a cutscene of a ship that looked like it was shot up was shown flying, upon the cut scene ending the game crashed afterwards.
Will go back and see if it was a random crash or not. Not gonna give up hope on this. If any of the modders can give ANY insight as to anything i might can do to please let me know, ill continue on and see what happens with this.
im wondering if re-sizing the model files will help in some way, though i have never done that, i know that VERY FEW will load on the xbox but most will not. I can definately say im not good at modding, but if most of the cut-content is on the xbox, then i wonder if there's a way to make an xbox-tslrcm if this seems like you wont be able to finish it.
EDIT** crashed a second, and then a third time on that exact same part for some reason. Im running the hak pad and booster pak v2 and dont know why it would do that. I removed the hak pad mod and booster, now when i beat the 2 mercs, no cutscene happens, but when i try to enter the cantina the game freezes on the load screen. ahh. :/

Ehm, I expect some big problems without the .mdl and .mdx files. Think... you wont get past the Jedi Academy...

can you guys think of anything i might could do to get past that? Im not sure how close i am to getting there, right now with testing i am at that point where you and kreia leave the morgue and the 2 assasins are following you cloaked.
what exactly are the mdl/mdx files for? I figured the xbox would freeze with em, hopefully not without em haha.

Small update here on the testing. . .
The Sion arrival movie is a little wonky since because - I think - instead of using pre-rendered cutscenes the X-Box now uses the real time movie engine for it like the mod makes it do. No freezing or anything just makes the scene a little jittery. All other movies have been fine.

No problem! I have both PC and X-Box versions, while for simplicity in modding I prefer PC, the X-Box is still easier to play. I am actually looking into the model differences, I'll see what I come up with...
Sweet! Yes, the only thing I had to delete was the mdx/mdl files to get it to work with the X-Box. Please do let me know what you come up with or find out~!
In the meantime, I am going to compile and test a list of PC mods that I can get to work in conjunction with TSLRCM on X-Box. Glad to see that you can in fact, have this on X-Box and work correctly.
EDIT** If it's OK with the mods on here, I will add to this thread topic for anyone who has the X-Box that wants to know what all will work with the TSLRCM as a definitive go to guide for anything KotOR 2 on X-Box.

make sure you decreased the quality of the textures in the override by at least half, to big of files and the xbox will freeze, models dont crash the game (in my experience), but they wont show-up or only half show up. also you might want to investigate what kind of wma you are using, iirc there is difference from what will come out of most converters and what the xbox actually uses. also try googling kotor 2 xbox mods, there is a forum set-up where you might get more help. (i think it is called scene-x or something like that) you might want to have a look at jade empire and the original kotor there too, best of luck.

I think i managed to get it running, i simply deleted all mdl/mdx files which i think were causing the mod to freeze on the xbox, im pretty sure i got the mod working right because when at the beginning when you find the vibroblade, i found the vibrocutter instead. All other files i simply added to the appropriate places.
EDIT: Kreia also says in the first conversation that "the ship we arrived in, THE EBON HAWK, must still be in this place," im pretty sure that means its functioning correcly.

The .mod files are not an issue for the xbox version. It's altogether pretty easy to install, it's just that you CANNOT have any model files (.mdl or .mdx) and your skin retextures are limited. Also, all audio files must be in wma format.
It's still be playable, but you'd be missing some of the finer points of TSLRCM, like the Kreia model animation... altogether not THAT important, but still...
You first require a modded xbox, and an FTP setup between your xbox and PC. Without this, modding the Kotor xbox is impractical.
Very sorry for the old bumping but decided to post here instead of making a new thread. Since 1.8 has been released i decided to try this out for myself on the ol xbox.
I converted all files over to wma from 1.8 and moved everything over to the xbox via ftp. Everything was put in the appropriate places. All goes well until the beginning of the game after the intro with the music, but when the games loads to the first cutscene before the epilogue it freezes, so basically i cant tell if anything will work.
I guess i have more 2 or 3 questions than 1.
If the said files are already in the xbox, is there a way to mod a few files for the xbox version to point them to the restored content?
And i see varsity puppet says this should run, what exactly do i need to do if it runs on xbox, because i sure cant get it to work.

How do you format the cache drives? Everytime i play i just delete whats in the cache as well as the x,y,z folder on the xbox hdd. Im using unleashx so you prob know what that is.
My gamesave is right before you enter the cantina for the first time so thats whats making this weird haha.
