What about T3?
-
-
Nope. Vanilla game already has that feature.
-
Couldn't a mod like that be made in around 5 minutes? (replaceing the Duros with Griff and replacing the Duros dialogue with Twilek dialogue?
It'd be a nice little cameo to be sure.
Don't give me ideas

Alright, give me a conversation to do, so I can write dialogue.
NPC: Greetings, human. If you are here to enjoy the casinos, I'm afraid that they are currently closed.
PC Response 1: Why are they closed?
PC Response 2: I didn't come here to gamble, but I'm interested in learning about the situation.
PC Response 3: This could be resolved for a price...
NPC Response to PC 1: The short version is that we lost power a few hours ago, and the gambling machines run on that currently disabled generator.
I assume that a group of refugees has been tapping power lines illegally, for whatever reason.
PC Response: The topic of illegality on Nar Shaddaa is frankly a bit hypocritical, wouldn't you say, considering that there is no law here on the Smuggler's Moon.
Nice, but please complete the forumular, cuz I like 'em... And I do need a rewritten dialogue. I'll contact you about different details via PM after you complete the formular.
EDIT: The rewritten dialogue is something for the mod, I wasn't referring to your dialogue! It's perfect!

I think force storm would be better...

Thanks for the tip!

It would be too convinient to have all the lips in one folder, right?
Well, I hope someone that has experience with lip syncing wants to help with the project. Thank you, bead-v!

Do I need to lip sync AVOs??
EDIT: Does anybody have LIPS conveniently placed in one folder?
-
What about a writer?
Hmm, I dunno. I mean, both I and N-DReW25 write story. (though he's more into tehnical stuff)
I'd say go for it! Complete a formular!

No known solution. You have to either find an OS that can install it or do it by hand.
I finally installed it on my Win 7 PC and it worked! Seems it doesn't work with Win 8 or Win 10.

The one with the twilek telling him get and go home or i'll tell modo heh heh. Is this mod still being worked on?
I don't know what you're talking about. That dialogue is in the vanilla (or TSLRCM, not sure) game. There's no separate mod for the dialogue.

I tried installing CSLU Toolkit and I get the error: Child Process Exited Abnormally.
"couldn't load file license 3.1.dll: no such process while executing."

I've been trying to convert Atton's head from KotOR 2 to KotOR 1, And It didn't go too well, the head for KotOR 2 was 512x512 pixels, whereas the KotOR 1 head I was trying to replace it with was 256, I tried to resize the KotOR 2 head and replace it with the K1 head, but when I started the game the head was very glitchy. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Porting to / from Kotor 1 from / to Kotor 2 is kind of illegal. I advise you to just leave this stuff alone.

We still need a scripter!
EDIT: And a lip syncer!

heh
It's so obvious & simple that I didnt think of that...
But yea, that's great as well
Can't say I'm not interested in both ideas. You can kind of already torture Mira in TSLRCM, when she says 'It'd better not be meditation stuff.". Force Persuade should be a Force Power that you can gain, and you could also gain Force Persist. It certanly is an interesting concept.

For the past few weeks, me, N-DReW25 and Quanon made some progress on the Nar Shaddaa Expansion. However, we face difficulties with scripts and such.
So, people that are interested on working on this project and can script and mod KotOR can join our little 'team'. (Me and N-DReW25, and I guess Quanon, though I'm not really sure)
Ok, so you'll need to complete a small formular, just so we know if you can join us!
EXAMPLE:
Online Name: Qyzen_Hunter
Modding Category: Story Writer
Experience: Moderate
Communication Means: Skype, Steam
Modding Projects: All
Basically, we need to know what modding category you fit in, how experienced you are, how we can contact you, (besides Deadly Stream PMs) and if you're willing to join this modding group for real, or just want to only contribute to the Nar Shaddaa Expansion.
Just send this formular to me or N-DReW25, and we'll see if you can join!
We currently only develop Nar Shaddaa Expansion, though N-DReW25 uses files and data that we find when working on this mod for his own uses.
*cough* I mean, I'm TOTALLY sure that he doesn't have a GenoHaradan Restoration project... Oh, wait, he does? *cough*
Please, all members that are part of this project should have Skype. If you do not, please install it. If you do not want to use Skype, we can talk on Deadly Stream, though I highly recommand using it.

Hi,
I'm rather new to KOTOR games. In fact, I just played the games for the 1st time this year.
Anyway, on my first playthrough with KOTOR2, I went with mostly DS decisions, thus, in the end, I didnt have enough influence with 3/4 of my crew, so I missed a lot of conversation and the option to turn some of them into jedi.
I've read the influence guide and it turns out that if you want to get influence, in many case, you have to act nobly, get LS points, etc.
And it kinda sux.
So, there is the cargo/supply room in the ebon hawk, that is rather empty.
I was thinking it would be interesting to put at least one cage there, where you could put one of your crew members, and torture them. (either with force lightning, or with the built in torture lightnings I guess)
How would you get influence from this you may ask?
Well, the concept is that with enough torturing, their mind would falter, the exile would technically break their will, thus make them an easy target for manipulation, easy target for influencing them
Now, since I'm a newcomer, I have literally no idea if it's even possible, or if it is, with how much work, and with how incompatible it would be with other mods, such as restorec content mod, etc
Anyway, just had the idea, thought I'd share.
Take care
It's possible, and not a bad idea. I'd do it myself, but I'm busy with other projects.

Any progress this week?
I'm sorry, but no. I'll start from tomorrow on. I had real life stuff
(school activities)

You could also tie the script to the door opening instead, if it's supposed to fire the first time you go there
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind.

I would need to know the context of this "certain area" to be able to help more. Primarily, you'd set up a Trigger in the area's .git file or hijack one that already exists if it's in the right spot.
A Trigger is a .utt file that has several events that fire scripts, one of which is an On-enter event that activates whenever something enters the area. In this case, you'd do something like this (all < > marks are ignored; you want to pay attention to what's between them):
void main() { // Get the object that triggered the event object oTarget = GetEnteringObject(); object oTalker = GetObjectByTag("<tag of the object/person initiating the conversation>"); if(oTarget == GetFirstPC()) // If the triggering object is the current player-controlled character { // Have oTalker start a conversation with the PC. The code looks long because we need the last three pieces to make the // game ignore the distance between oTalker and oTarget. Otherwise, the player would move to oTalker first... AssignCommand(oTalker, ActionStartConversation(oTarget, "<name of .dlg file, minus the extension>", FALSE, CONVERSATION_TYPE_CINEMATIC, FALSE)); } }
Near both of the entrances of the Nar Shaddaa Landing Pad restored cantina. And if triggers once, that's it.
-
I'm not good at scripting... But how do I trigger a conversation when the PC approaches a certain area?
-
I've seen some topics with the question about the GenoHaradans, and though it'd be nice to write this for people who don't exactly know about the 3 mods:
- Nar Shaddaa Expansion (Doesn't restore what Obisidian wanted to make)
This is a currently W.I.P mod, that me, N-DReW25 (we work on almost everything) and Quanon (he works on the modules) currently develop. It will be incompatible with the other GenoHaradan mods. TSL Needed!
- GenoHaradan Legacy Mod (Partially restores what Obsidian wanted to make)
This mod is also a currently W.I.P mod, that N-DReW25 currently develops. Compatible with TSL! (I'll possibly help him with the project when we finish the Nar Shaddaa Expansion)
- Exile007's GenoHaradan Mod (A mix of the previous two)
This mod was abandoned, and is not updated anymore. Incompatible with TSL.
The first two are kind of like TSLRCM and M4-78, one restores what Obsidian wanted and adds new content based on what Obsidian wanted. The other has new modules, new VOs, and much more, like M4-78. Though these mods are incompatible, unlike M4-78 and TSLRCM.

A while back I started a mod named "Nar Shaddaa Expansion" for TSL, but I got bored and started playing SWTOR. Anyways, I decided to get back to modding TSL and K1, problem is, K1 runs extremely slow and sluggish. (30 fps AT BEST). It's weird, since K2 runs extremely good.
Laptop Specs:
CPU: I7 6700 HQ 2.60 GHZ
RAM: 8 GB
Video Cards: 1. Integrated: Intel HD 530 (Secondary GPU)
2. External: GeForce 950m (Primary GPU)
OS: Windows 10
Any help will be appreciated.
