  1. Long story short I just finished modding the game started playing and got a crash on Peragus. No idea which mod caused it so it's time to start over and be more careful this time. I've heard in the past that you can use subdirectories in the override folder for KOTOR 2. When I say subdirectory I mean put a mods files in a folder that is inside the override folder. Naturally I've got some concerns about this so I wanted to ask some questions:

    1. Can I use sub directories in the override folder?

    2. Would you recommend using them?

3.What files shouldn't be in sub directories? I know 2das shouldn't but anything else?

4.Any tips you use on keeping your installed mods organized?

  2. Basically how the installer works is it looks for the file it's supposed to modify in your game folder and if it doesn't find it the installer adds the copy of that file included with the mod. In this case you didn't have a basitems.2da in your override folder and it sounds like the mod author didn't include that file in their mod. What was the mod?

You should be able to fix it by putting the attached baseitems.2da in your override and run the mod installer again.

    baseitems.2da

  3. I'm very confused then because I did it the same way I did with the Darkstar Gear and that container still has it's name. Can you tell me how and where you are seeing what you are seeing?

EDIT: I think I may have found the problem. The changes ChangeEdit was making to the containers included messing with the containers name. The container in Darkstar Gear did not have these changes. I have removed them and will get back to you after testing.

EDIT 2: ^ That was indeed the issue. I don't know why ChangeEdit made those changes to the container name but deleting them leaves the container name intact while still inserting the items. Thanks for your help Darth.

  5. Man I feel kinda embarrassed for being so dumb buuuuuut my desire to learn this and make it work out ways that so ONWARD!!!

Okay so let me make sure I built the 152har.mod correctly

    1. Extracted 152HAR.rim, 152HAR_s.rim and 152HAR_dlg.erf to a new folder.

    2. Added the files in that folder to ERF Builder and had it build a new .mod named 152har

    3. Put that in tslpatchdata

EDIT: Well it worked so I think I did it right. Thanks for your help Darth. As usual you are the absolute best!

  6. I'm finally getting around to fixing my Darkstar Gear mod. The first time around I placed it in the footlocker in your room on the Harbinger. This caused multiple other containers in the game, including the one containing the mining gear on Peragus, to be replaced with this footlocker. Obviously not ideal. I clearly don't understand how to add items to a container. So I had the idea of putting them on an NPC. I've had some success with that in K1. I chose Benok, the jerk of an Exchange Lieutenant. Problem with that is his cantina utc and exchange compound utc have the same file name.

    So the questions:

    1. How would I go about adding items to a container without repeating my prior sins?

    2. How would I reconcile the issue of both of Benok's utc files having the same name?

  7. It doesn't seem to have any affect. I'm pretty sure it's Revans Hoodless Robes. I installed it earlier in the playthrough and then uninstalled it. I think I didn't do that properly as reinstalling the mod fixes this issue but.. you know... no hood. So at this point my options seem to be a messed up belt or no hood.

  8. Not a big deal but I was curious how to fix this. Playing through Brotherhood of Shadow I got to the bits where you are wearing the hooded Revan robes and this happened. The center cloth bit on his belt is sticking straight out. I'm sure I did something to cause it, just not sure what.
