  1. Lol. Fair enough. Good luck on the mod. I hope it'll be great.
  2. Sorry you feel I'm being harsh. Wasn't intended that way, but I can't change how you took it at this point. The fact remains that your title was "coming soon" over a year and a half ago. If you didn't think it'd be done soon, you shouldn't put it in the title. I'm not sure why that sentiment has generated so much outrage here. Your last significant update was a little over 2 months ago. Having watched many major mods fall into neglect and ultimate abandonment over the years, I asked semi-seriously and semi-tongue-in-cheek what was going on with this large "soon-to-be-released" mod. It's not that I don't have the patience for it, and as I said initially, I expected this mod would take years with a good chance of it never being completed, hence why "Coming Soon" felt disingenuous, moreso now a year and a half later. You could have just said "Work in progress: Sleheyron" which would have set better expectations, as the former made me think, "Wow, maybe they played it close to the vest and are actually nearing completion before they even announced it, how refreshing," rather than, "Oh they're making a huge expansion to the game, I'll be following their progress over the next couple of years, hope they make it." Changing it to "Christmas 2023" is getting childish at this point. Seeing your posts on this forum over the years, I figured you would be above that. Regardless, sorry that my comments have upset you. They were not meant as trolling, as someone here mentioned, although that seems to be a catch-all term nowadays when someone says anything someone else doesn't like.
  3. To be honest, given the scope of this project as well as the number of times it's been attempted, I expect it will be years before it's released, if at all frankly. That being said, "Coming soon" to something like this I feel is a bit disingenuous, a term meant to stir up fan hype but not much else. Let's be fair, you didn't really expect this to be finished in any reasonable definition of "soon" did you? As you yourself just said, you're building a whole world with fan-made tools. Regardless, I would offer constructive criticism, but unfortunately we have not seen much to critique at this point, so I'd only point out that the thread has been getting off topic mainly because updates are fairly sparse. A couple of posts and screenshots now and then would help to know that this project is still being worked on, as opposed to it falling under the axe of real life, as most large fan projects do. P.S. I'm not trying to be harsh here. I'd love the chance to play this if it gets completed someday, and fully support and applaud you guys for the magnitude of what you're trying to do, I'm just saying realistic expectations should be set.
  4. Any updates on this project? Coming soon seems to be not so soon.
  5. Just a thought, but now that David Gaider has left Bioware, have you thought about contacting him again to see if he would be willing to help flesh out some quest ideas? Not holding breath obviously, but he's done mods in the past.
  6. I remember there was supposed to be a bazaar on sleheyron. Are you going to add that as well?
  7. First off, looks awesome! Second of all, the tech demo wasn't a finished product, so I for one wouldn't mind a bit of creative license, since the original looked a bit bland and unfinished. And third, please, please don't quit like almost all largescale fan projects ultimately do.
