Uploaded by permission of the author. Original KotORFiles review: "Christmas is very near now and when this wonderful holiday comes it�s always nice to get things that help the holiday spirit. One of the most popular types of candy you can have to help celebrate the Christmas Season are candy canes; of course when you think of candy canes, you think of something that goes into your mouth to eat, but you don't see eating going on in Knights of the Old Republic, you see fighting throughout the game. To help put this site get into the Christmas Spirit, Inyri Forge decided to make us a Candy Cane Sword. Since this is a holiday themed mod that will be used once a year if anybody is interested, less work should be involved or whatever is easier to just get the mod out, right? Well, the author did take that direction with this release and decided to have the new Candy Cane Sword replace the default first long sword in Knights of the Old Republic. This weapon is more commonly seen in the beginning part of the game. When the author and I were talking earlier in the evening about her work, we both chuckled at the idea of a Black Vulkar pulling out a candy cane to fight your PC on Taris. Since it's a quick replacement model and texture, it can be easily removed once you�re out of the holiday spirit. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem" Installation Instructions: Place the contents of the ZIP folder into your Knights of the Old Republic override folder. Description: I can never resist a holiday mod, although I almost forgot to finish this one! Last year it was the Santa Hats (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Santa_Hats;73915), so this year it's Candy Cane swords to go with it! I had them overwrite the longsword because I thought that'd be funny, so anything that uses the longsword model will appear as a candy cane. Either play with them that way, or cleverly make your own uber Candy Cane UTI to 'celebrate' the holidays with. Just to make it clear, I don't condone killing people as being 'in the holiday spirit'. Now that my lawyer can rest easy ( just kidding) go ahead and pummel some Sith with pure sugar and peppermint! Bugs: None that I know of this time! <3 Comment: Now kids, don't go snooping around the house looking for your Christmas presents. It ruins the surprise! -

Original Review on Filefront: "I am please to review a mod...err... launcher by Inyri Forge. Inyri is a network admin on the FileFront network and in the past has been active with making mods for the Knights of the Old Republic games. Due to her personal life getting more busy, she hasn�t had the time to make Knights of the Old Republic mods like she used to, so it�s really great when she does actually gets to make the time to do a mod. It�s been a while since I have reviewed a launcher and I was never one that was huge on them. I personally never use the launcher. I just open my game without going through the launcher. I find it faster to get where I want to. Well, not everybody is like that and many do use it and love seeing new styles of it. This is actually a cool launcher that the author made. What this launcher does is focus on Darth Revan and Darth Malak. You can a picture of them in a duel when you launch your game. What�s really neat is the new sounds you get with the launcher. When you open the launcher, you hear the Sith Battle Theme song and Malak quoting a scene; �You are strong child, but I will break you.� Then you hear his trademark laugh after that. Anytime you hit any of the launcher buttons, you hear the Malak laugh, a very nice tribute to the Dark Lord. This mod also breaks a string of 13 strait TSL mods. Enjoy the new launcher! It�s so clearly defined. This new mod will add to our growing collection of launchers, however the TSL side is really dominating with the amount of launchers compared to the K1 section, so it�s nice to add to the K1 side to help compete with the TSL side. I also love to see talented modders continue to contribute to the Knights of the Old Republic section. It gives me great pleasure to review their mods. In the case of this launcher, it�s Inyri Forge who graces us. Anything she makes, she makes it with great quality and this mod is no exception to the kind of work she releases. Since we�re talking about how distinguished good and evil is, this launcher is based off of that and the choice you have to go to either the good side of things, or the dark side. My favorite part about this mod is the new sounds. This pack will add 8 new melee weapons into the game of which two you might already have. These swords include some of the coolest melee weapons I have ever seen in kotor; perfectly model, hard hitting, and above all deadly weapons that can take down even the biggest of foes. Now personally I usually don't use melee weapons in the game unless I have to because I love using lightsabers but I can make an exception for this because they just look so awesome and are infact awesome! The two main weapons that you will definatly want and that you will definatly noticed in the game are the "Sword of War" and "Sword of Justice" which are actually a stand alone mod but I would much rather more weapons then just one or two. I really do have to say that these are some really cool weapons and you will be able to notice that throughout your experince with them. Great job Inyri I think these are awesome and you have my download! Now to all you people who are reading this review...Enjoy! But to make more sense of it, this mod only has full affect with the soldier class since it will only change the look of the soldier class. If you were going to wear this with anybody else (like Carth, and Canderous who are soldiers), the appearance would go to their default clothing look. I must say this is a much, much better looking soldier uniform skin than the default. I�m very impressed and will be using this skin myself. But to make more sense of it, this mod only has full affect with the soldier class since it will only change the look of the soldier class. This new gun model is that of a SOCOM. Now as I've played many FPS in my time, I am well accustomed to what a SOCOM should look like. Even so, I googled for some reference pictures just to be safe. When I first viewed this model it brang back fond memories of the MGS series on the PS1 and PS2 all the way to SoF2 for the PC. The model itself, I find, is elegant in design and structure. Inyri's skill with modeling guns really shows in her latest release. That's right folks Inyri Forge has released her second model of the week... an MP5 submachine gun! The level of detail is extraordinary, she has emcompassed many, if not all, of the main features this gun is famous for. Again, as with the other gun model released this week, it is for Kotor1. Personally I would like to see a kotor2 version of this weapon and I'm sure many of you would agree. Another thing to mention is the muzzle flash, a small feature of this model, but none the less very cool, as it adds to the overall realism factor. Another superb model from a very talented modder. Original KotORFiles review: "One of the most popular things to mod on this site is changing head selections. Most of the time authors make new skins and have them replace an existing default head. There are even times when two different authors make two different skins and both replace the same head. That's frustrating because you want both options installed in your override folder, yet it's not going to happen unless you know how to do some fancy editing. Inyri Forge brings us a mod that gives you 10 new head selections that do not replace any of the current default heads in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Most of the head skins are from past releases that replaced other heads. This is not the case being that this release will make all those new head skins available as separate heads. They even all have their own portraits. There's a bonus head in this one that hasn't been released by the author. It's a Chiss head skin. The cool part about this head is that the Chiss will have blue arms and legs while in his underwear. The Darth Maul head will have black arms and legs to match the head color. The author's horn pack is included in this release since there is two Zabrak heads in this mod. The TSL Patcher will install this mod since there are many .2da files that are involved to make this mod happen, the TSL Patcher will make it all compatible with any possible mods you�re using in your personal override folder that have .2da files involved. Enjoy the heads! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. This pack also includes 3 non-human heads (2 Zabrak heads + horn masks and 1 Chiss head... because apparently everybody loves Chiss). Comments: This mod has, by far, the most complicated TSLPatcher setup I've ever done, and my fingers hurt from copy-pasting. But without the patcher this mod would've been grossly incompatible with so many others... so I still wub it. <3 The included horns are exactly the same as the ones released with my Darth Maul head. Since that head is included, as well as my other Zabrak head, I included the horns as well. Here are the stats for the stuff: Horns: +2 regeneration Also the spawn names for the items are as follows: HORN SET 1: giveitem zhorns HORN SET 2: giveitem zhorns2 HORN SET 3: giveitem zhorns3 DARTH MAUL'S HORNS: giveitem zhorns4 You will need to cheat or use KotOR Savegame Editor (KSE) to get these items for the following reasons. Firstly, they're canonically impossible to find because they won't exist for thousands of years, and so would be out of place if I placed them somewhere within the story. Secondly... I don't think you should be randomly finding someone's lost set of horns out in a lockbox somewhere. That's only a *little* morbid and disgusting to think about. Bugs: None, I hope. The horns actually seem to be positioned right on most of the models. Naturally they'll look a bit out of place on models with hair. I don't really think that's a bug though. I seriously can�t find anything wrong with the model or it�s textures. In my overall opinion I suggest a download. The model is practically perfect. The textures are practically perfect, and the way the weapon acts in game is god, if slightly unbalanced. - Enterprise2002" -

The biggest news was that Boba Fett was a clone of Jango. The neat thing about Jango is his armor was a lot newer and cooler looking than Boba's was. One of Jango's most popular weapons that really looks cool was his WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistol. Inyri Forge, a fan of Jango Fett and his blaster decided to release the weapon model for all of us to use in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Not only do you get the awesome model to play with, but the blaster itself will be a powerful weapon to use. The energy damage will be 3-12, with a dexterity bonus of +2 and an attack bonus of +3. More power (I can hear Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor echoing those words) can be added to the blaster with the upgrades you can add to it. When fully upgraded, you get 2-6 ion damage, 3-3 cold damage, on hit properties attribute damage DC 22, and 3-3 fire damage. There is a catch and that is whoever you want to use this pistol and that is you must select the weapon focus blaster pistol feat in order to be able to use it. Carth Onasi comes with the feat. Since Jango's weapon isn't really part of game play, the author didn't feel you can just add the weapon at any given point so you will have to use the cheats to get this pistol. Since it's a one handed weapon, why not spawn two and use them as dual blasters for double the trouble for your enemies. stick out tongue Information how to spawn them is in the readme file. Enjoy the blasters! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. Description: I'm not a big fan of the prequel films, but Jango Fett has a special place in my heart. I also really like the design of his blasters, which is one reason I modeled them (typically I don't like making guns). Just keep in mind that these are high-quality pistols. You'll have to be some kind of pistoleer to use them (rough translation: you need Weapon Focus for pistols). Comments: Obviously since these blaster pistols wouldn't have existed in the Old Republic era I have not placed them in-game anywhere. This latest mod from one of the most prolific modellers to work on KotOR is the Deldrimor Sword from Guild Wars, which, since its introduction in April, has apparently become very popular. It's been a little while since Inyri's last release, and it's nice to see another mod by her uploaded here. The model is, quite simply, excellent, and the texturing is also very, very good. While it is tempting to say that the mod is up to Inyri's usual high standard, this is not true - this mod exceeds even that, and it would be no exaggeration to say that this is probably the best model we've had in a good while. The accuracy of the model is as near to perfect as makes no odds, and the texture looks great. In-game it looks even better than in the shots, and it fits the aesthetic of the game well, particularly where Wookiees are involved. The description is nice and to the point, reflecting the fantasy origins of the weapon, while the stats are based upon those of the weapon in Guild Wars. If there are criticisms to be made of the mod, some may view the stats (2-20 Physical Damage bonus, +3 Constitution) as a little overpowered and the description is not very Star Wars-y. The darker areas of the texture also do not show up especially well in-game, either. However, the stats reflect those in Guild Wars, as the description refers to the mod's origin, and the texturing is actually quite visible; overall, these are minor quibbles regarding a nevertheless very cool mod. This time it is the Emerald Sword, which is both a sword and emeraldy (which must come as a shock, given the name... ) It is also, equally shockingly, based upon a weapon in Guild Wars. As can be seen, the model is more than up to Inyri's high standard and excellently detailed, while the texturing is superb, managing to combine metallic appearance with that of crystal very effectively. It's closeness to the original design is clear and, indeed, most accurate, as always. The stats of the weapon, too, are balanced and fair, while also making it worthwhile to use. It hasn't been spawned anywhere in the game by the author, since it's a fantasy weapon, and rather inappropriate for the setting and aesthetic of the game. That said, the large guard does make the blade seem rather short, all things considered, and the weapon looks rather silly when paired with the author's Deldrimor Sword, also from Guild Wars. That said, these quibbles are, strictly speaking, the fault of the designer and not the modeller in the first instance, and in the second because the two weapons weren't designed to go together, but a review that doesn't have a down-side wouldn't really be balanced.
