  1. Juhani Real Cathar Head

    ======================================
Knights of the Old Republic Juhani MOD

    email: ben@floydiantheory.com
    website: www.floydiantheory.com/miro42.deviantart.com
    name: Cathar Juhani
credits (thanks): Trex for his awesome tutorial and everyone at Holowan Labs. Because there are too many to name, thanks for all the great tools out there! For an actual list of programs and tools that I used, check out the little tutorial. Of course, thanks go to Bioware and LucasArts for bringing KOTOR to life.

    filename: juhaniCathar_head.zip
    file size: 183KB (435kb unzipped)
    date released: 18 Feb 2009

description: For those of you who remember Star Wars pre-prequel, you might remember the old
Dark Horse comics series 'Tales of the Jedi'. From this series one of my favorite characters
was Sylvar, the Cathar. So when I found out that KOTOR had a Cathar I was psyched. Of course
then I actually saw Juhani and I was quite dissapointed to find that she looked nothing like a
Cathar should. She didn't even have any hair! This mod gives Juhani an actual cat like
appearance (based more off of the 'Redemption' arc than the older ones) with a different nose, bigger ears, and a squatter, but (in my opinion) cuter face.
I've also retextured her head so it looks a little bit nicer.

installation: Extract contents of the zip file. Place the .mdl, .mdx, and .tga files into override (x:Program Files\LucasArts\SWKOTOR by default). Start KOTOR! How easy is that?!

uninstallation (is that a word?): delete the .mdl, .mdx, and .tga files from the override.

notes: This is my first ever mod and I would like to think that there are no problems with it. However, computers are computers and I'm sure someone will have a problem. If this is the case please email me and I'll look into figuring out the problem. However, since this is my first mod I don't really know what else I can do as my skills are all but nill. So, try redownloading and reinstalling and see if that works. Good luck, and have fun!

permissions: If you wish to use this for anything but personal use, send me an email and I'm sure I'll give you permission to use it however you like.

  2. Luke's Saber from A New Hope

description: This is a simple replacement mod for the blue lightsaber. I've modeled Luke's saber from the first film A New Hope. Well, I guess that's pretty much it.

installation: Extract contents of the zip file. Place the .mdl, .mdx, and .tga files into override (x:Program Files\LucasArts\SWKOTOR by default). Start KOTOR! How easy is that?!

uninstallation (is that a word?): delete the .mdl, .mdx, and .tga files from the override.

notes: I've done heads, and full PC mods so I thought I'd try my hand and inanimate objects. This was incredibly fun, beside doing the texture. I hate textures, so I'm sorry I'm so horrible at them, but there you have it. Eventually, I'll be doing all the sabers from the original trilogy and in fact I've started on a conversion to make the KOTOR characters look like the original cast. Leia's head and Luke's Bespin suit (coolest damn costume in all of Star Wars) are both done as far as modeling goes. It's those damn textures again!

  3. Mara Jade PC for TSL

    =========================================================
Knights of the Old Republic The Sith Lords - Mara Jade PC

    email: ben@floydiantheory.com
    website: floydiantheory.com
    name: Mara Jade PC
credits (thanks): All those at Holowan labs. Myself, for being so awesome and of course, thanks go to Bioware, Obsidian, and LucasArts for bringing KOTOR to life.

    filename: Mara Jade PC.zip
    file size: ~2.3MB (~6.3MB unzipped)
    date released: 1 October 2011

description: This mod allows you to pick Mara Jade as a PC. It includes a new body model with both a lightside and darkside texture, dark side transitions which only change the eyes, and new portraits.

Mara Jade is one of the coolest (if not the coolest) characters in the Star Wars universe, even better than Jar Jar Binks!

she holds the title for Hottest Jedi Ever.

and yes she has no time correlation with TSL but she's a badass character and deserves to be played...and not just in the Jedi Knight expansion (anyone remember that ancient game?).

this mod uses the TSLPatcher (which I had to completely relearn) and gives you two options of install:
    1. Armor Change - only the underwear model will retain the Mara Jade outfit.
    2. No Armor Change - regardless of which armor you equip, only the Mara Jade outfit will be visible.

installation: Extract contents of the zip file. Double click the Mara Jade PC for TSL installer and follow directions.

uninstallation (is that a word?): place the appearance.2da file from the backup folder into the override. delete the added files from the override, which are:
    heads.2da
    pfbmj.mdl
    pfbmj.mdx
    pfbmja01.tga
    pfbmjd01.tga
    pfhmj1.mdl
    pfhmj1.mdx
    pfhmj1.tga
    pfhmj1d1.tga
    pfhmj1d2.tga
    po_pfhmj1.tga
    po_pfhmj1d1.tga
    po_pfhmj1d2.tga
    portraits.2da

permissions: You may use this for whatever you want. However, a heads up would be nice as well as a link to your project.

  4. Adding Geometry Tutorial

This isn't really a tool, but it's not a mod, media, or skin either. With a lot of finagling and a nice hex editor, you can add geometry to heads for KOTOR and TSL characters. At least back in my day (my last mod was either in 2011 or 2013), this was a constant thorn in the side of models, so hopefully this tutorial is irrelevant by now. If that's the case, then I've uploaded it hear for historical significance.

    Hope all is well.

    Ben
