READ ME FIRST - Welcome to the TSLRCM section!

Recommended Posts

Welcome to Deadly Stream's TSLRCM Mod Discussion Area!

1. For those that have come here first before finding the download area, the link to the download is right here. (You do not have to be registered on this site to download but feel free to sign up as it will be helpful with points 2 through 6.)

2. Are you wondering what exactly was restored to the game using the TSLRCM 1.8.6 mod? Look to this this post for answers. If you are wondering what was restored in previous versions of TSLRCM, you'll want to check out the master thread for that which can be found here.

3. Are you wondering if your mod has been found to be either compatible or incompatible with TSLRCM 1.8.6? You'll want to to check out this thread. This thread is by no means complete but will be updated on a regular basis. If you find that there is an important mod missing - and by important, I mean over 10,000 downloads - feel free to mention it to a Deadly Stream Staff member for possible inclusion on the list. (The current Staff members can be found on this page.)

4. If the mod that you'd like to use isn't listed in the thread in (3), it is highly advised that you check out this thread. Please read all the way from the beginning as your question may have already been answered.

5. As much as the team is (dare I say it) obsessed with getting the maximum amount of players enjoying the mod, please keep in mind that working on the TSLRCM isn't their full time job. They sleep, go to work (or school), and have real lives. The TSLRCM team (or experienced users) will see your question in the thread and get to them as quickly as they can. They ask for your patience in these matters.

6. If you'd like to leave a compliment for the modding team for the beta testers, you'll probably want to go right here.

Once again, welcome and enjoy your stay!

When posting an issue, be able to state with your issue the following information (stolen from a wonderful post by Darth InSidious) . . . which I've amended.

FOR TSLRCM AND/OR M4-78EP

Quote

1 -  During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?

2 - Did you install the latest version of the mod? That's TSLRCM 1.8.6 and M4-78 1.5 (or M4-78 version 1.3 if you're using the Workshop version). We only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods.

3 - What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

4 - Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)

5 - Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?

6 - What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)

7 - Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?

8 - Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?

9 - Have you tried using a different save game?

10 - Have you tried starting a new game?

11 - What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

12 - Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?

13 - What language is your game set for?

14 - Which language of TSLRCM are you using?

15 - Are you playing this on a laptop or a desktop computer?

16 - Did you install TSLRCM after you started your game?

FOR ANY MODS OTHER THAN TSLRCM/M4-78EP!

Posting both the questions and the answers is now a requirement for bug posting. Bug-fixing will considered only on the most recent versions of TSLRCM and/or M4-78 EP.

The team asks you to post both the questions and the answers (with the answer following the questions) because the questions may be updated from time to time.

Be prepared to provide a screenshot of your issue upon request.

Thank you for your continued patronage.

Justification from Official Forum Rules

Keep the following in mind regarding mods from the official forum rules (specifically Rule 8, Section 7)

Quote

7. If you open a topic requesting help with a game or a specific modification, you must list all modifications that you currently have installed. Inaction or inability to list your installed modifications will result in the closing of your thread. Spamming or bumping of help topics may result in a temporary ban.

Hyperlinks

If you don't know how to hyperlink your posts for the additional mods you use, here's a quick an easy guide.

DeMO4TJ.png

If you do it properly, you'll see your links in format as shown in the Mod Compatibility List for TSLRCM 1.8.5, which enables us to know who made your mod, what mod it was, and which version of that mod you are attempting to use.

One more thing . . .

This is important: even if you've posted the questions and answers to get problem solved, that may not necessarily be the end of it. If you post to the thread again with a different problem, and one of more of the answers have changed, you must be post the whole set and questions and answers again. I would have thought this was obvious but . . . let's just make things simpler for those you wish to help you.

One last thing . . .

Those posting a glitch and then following it up with something along the lines of "Fixed it!" - and then NOT explaining how you've done so - actually does no one any good. If you fix a problem, explain what you've done to fix the problem. This is also for your benefit. (For example, in case your fix screws something else up.)

. . . And this.

Members that have been around here for a while, should quote this next line and direct folks having issues to this very post.

Read this post. Follow the instructions. Bug reports for TSLRCM require the format in the linked thread.

Only one post of this per bug thread - and only if they haven't provided the information.  If they still don't follow your kind suggestion, report them to Staff.
