Ebon Hawl - Uncertain improvement

Hey, guys, what'S up? I know this forum for quite a while now: You helped me with graphic problems in KotOR 1 and now I'm about to start a new walkthrough of "The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod", after I played 1.5 and 1.6 (I'm waiting longingly for 1.8 xD) :-D

Well then, here's my topic: In KotOR 1 the character's... "life points" and the life points of all party members are restored after you entered your ship, the Eben Hawk. That's something I still miss in KotOR 2.

Well, IS IT POSSIBLE that you guys could think about something like an update or a new mod to restore this option in "The Sith Lords"?

I agree. I don't like how in TSL injuries from forever ago won't be patched up automatically.

Where is the need to have that "Instant" healing upon boarding the Ebon Hawk, when you already regenerate health? Not to mention the fact that even though are are a few places in the game that offer it(The Kolto tanks on Peragus and the Harbinger, the repairable droids on the Harbinger and in Freedon Nadd's tomb, etc), at times you barely need these things because there are medpacs to use, or you already heal from the damage because of the regeneration.

Though it might be nice for the regen to work for the party Members on the Hawk, just as it works for the pc.

I mean, here I am, picking party members to assault Goto's Yacht with, and Kreia has next to no health or force points and no way to heal(because none of the fricking vendors on NS sell medpacs), and Atton only has half health. What am I supposed to do with that? I can't do squat on the yacht with a useless party,

I totally agree with Hyze: It's just BETTER that you regenerate your health points while entering your ship, JUST like in KotOR 1. It's just stupid that you pick up party members who have to deal with damage from battles long ago. I don't want to heal my party members when I'm coming from the Hawk. :hot:

Then heal them before entering?

I do agree on some points they should be auto-healed (if damage is not your fault, like Bao on the Telos Plateau), but in other cases it's because you send them injured away...

IMO not having an auto-heal functionality like in K1, just complicates the game unnecessarily.

EXAMPLE: If I last use Visas on Nar Shaddaa, and she had less the 50% health, when I pull her back into my party 3 planets later, she shouldn't still be harboring those wounds. She's had more than enough time to perform some kind of healing function.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a Kolto Tank Mod for the Ebon Hawk--I've never installed it but I do believe it's available on FileFront

There's this Force power that heals the whole party, so what's the big deal? Of course it costs more if your Dark Side, but that's the whole point. The Dark Side is not about healing, never has been. And it's only fair that also the Dark Side has it's weak points, don't you think. That's what I love about Star Wars! The Dark and Light Sides both have their flaws, just like in real life :D.

Besides, this has nothing to do with restoration, right? Why not make a mod that introduces such a feature yourself? Modding a feature you're truly missing are usually among the best mod-ideas :).

Pfffff, I bet this automatic healing is missing *because* Boiware had NO time to finish this game. The automatic healing was a great option in KotOR 1 and It's a drag that it's still missing.

@ Bob: By the way, I'm totaly sorry, but I have NO idea how to make a mod like this or a mod at all.

Hey, I mean, I bet the healing after entering the Hawk is just something Bioware forgott - and it can't be a big deal for you guys to make just a little mod ;) Of course you don't have to use it yourself, but *I* think it's something that should be made.

Fixed your post.

Also, I'm looking into it. I'll seen what I can churn out.

Unfortunately if it had been Bioware, LucasArts wouldn't have rushed the game. Bioware was to well known, and Obsidian was newly formed, operating only on a defunct studios legacy.

As for the auto heal, it should be a simple matter of adding an "On Enter" script for the hawk that, if no cutscene is supposed to play, will heal party members.
