Is this a frame buffer effects issue?

Something very strange I found and have seen multiple times. For some reason, characters in Stasis will have their lightsaber blades flicker. Here's an example with Bastila:

I'm wondering if this is related in any way to frame buffer effects and maybe if it can be solved by turning them off? 🤔
