Guest Plastic Posted May 9, 2011 I like playing KOTOR2, but after a while, you have to give it a rest. So I stopped playing it for a while. The other day, I decided to give it a go again, but it wouldn't play! My cd-drive would sound busy, and the mouse icon would look busy, but then it would just stop. No black screen, just the desktop. Running kotor2's self-scan thing came up with this: (I have inserted comments) [sWKotOR]ReportDateTime= <-- Doubt you want to know this Summary: Fairly recent. Guest Plastic Posted May 12, 2011 What verson of Windows do you have or do you have a Mac? Windows 7 Home Premium (I said I had Windows 7 in the quote area. Apparently I can ignore the openGL thing, but Kotor still won't open. I've tried the Vista fix.
MrPhil 58 Posted May 12, 2011 Ever tried to disable cinematics? I'd change this: Disable Movies=1 Disable Intro Movies=1 Sort Modules=1 Width=800 (Whatever your game resolution is) Height=600 (Whatever your game resolution is)
Guest Mablus25 Posted May 13, 2011 Mrphil is correct
MrPhil 58 Posted May 13, 2011 Maybe... I'd love to hear from you plastic, and if this seems to work for you or not

Is that everything that should be in a clean install? It seems too short for me. I will try doing the things you suggested. Get back to you later. Perhaps it's the width and height? Edit: I made the changes, and still no go. :-( It's worked on this computer before. I don't understand! I've tried uninstalling and re-installing. The game doesn't even start! I just don't know... Thanks for your help. If you can think of something, please tell.

Guest Plastic Posted July 11, 2011 Fixed by Reinstalling Windows 7 (drastic fix I know, but KOTOR2 wasn't the only game having trouble. Anything Java (On internet or outside internet) wasn't working. That's fixed too. Thanks to those who tried to help me! Edit: I have a feeling that my trying to update Catalyst (graphics driver) somehow caused this. Perhaps I did not install it correctly? All well, I'm not going to try that again soon! ;-D
