swkotor [MAC] SWKOTOR Update, KSE changes aren't changing the saves as they should

SWKOTOR recently updated on my Mac. I found my saves again and upon editing the save file for a new cheat run, and then running the game through its updated launcher then running the applied changes save file, none of the attributes nor credits I had altered were changed at all.

Any and all help and or suggestions with this matter would be hugely appreciated.
