When I tried to shiny chain that Ralts my chain kept being interrupted by a Ralts using teleport then eventually on like the 3 or 4th of a chain when I was tempted to give up and say "screw it" the Shiny Ralts appeared I threw one Great Ball and BAM I had caught it! It's not fun to run into a shiny then have a NPC kill it then live with the knowledge that you will most likely never see that shiny again.
