Rece 63 Posted February 10, 2015 Omg. After all this time of having Kotor 2 I've finally figured out why my game lagged whenever I was near smoke or anything like that. Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 didn't really change anything. If any of you are having trouble with lag, go to the swkotor2.ini file and under Display Options, there are two things you need to do: Disable Movies=1 Disable Intro Movies=1 This has solved all lag in my game. I can finally record my walkthrough of the game in HQ and I'm on a Mac (Extra bonus right???) Anyways, you can still do the vertex buffer thingy, but these movies seem to be what caused all lag in my game. Xuul 224 Posted February 10, 2015 If you get lag while recording kotor 2 (at least on windows, no idea about a mac) and you have a multicore CPU, you can set the CPU affinity to all cores and it can actually improve performance marginally while recording. For some people with may cause crashing though. I have had several people confirm this works ( at least while using Fraps or Dxtory)
Rece 63 Posted February 10, 2015 I'll try that. It's very weird though. Sometimes when I'm recording I get no lag, but when I review the recording, the video seems to lag in places. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo idk how to set the affinity though. Edit: Okay I figured out how to reduce the lag tremendously, while also keeping the quality at its best still. I had to record the videos using Lossless and not Adaptive. There will be a difference seen coming in Episode 7 of my series.
