1.7 Crash on Korriban?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I love your work. It's nice to be able to play KOTOR II close to it's full glory. I have been working my way through the game with 1.7 installed light sided and have arrived on Korriban, completed the academy and confronted Sion. Once Keira tells me to escape the cutscene plays of me and my two NPC (atton + disciple - fully jedied out) the game just crashes. It gets to the point in the scene where Sion walks down with his two sith assassins and just before he begins to tell them to go after the PC it kicks up a crash.

Not sure if this is something down to 1.7 or anything. I had a lot of issues playing through Onderon (pre-civil war) where it crashed quite frequently throughout switching areas. The solution to this was just to remove HK47 from my quad... for some reason having him there crashed the game.

However in this instance I cannot remove Atton or the Disciple simply because the game doesn't allow it at this point.

Can anyone help me or point me in the direction of a solution? I'm so close to the HK Factory and can't wait to play it!

Thanks in advance!

You could try temporarily renaming the korriban .mod files to .mod.bak or something... if the movie passes then, re-name them back to .mod.

I've heard of this issue before but like the Onderonian crashes it seems kind of totally random.

I'll give that a shot. What folder do I find the korriban .mod files? I've looked in a few but have no idea which ones they are.

[install folder]/modules.

Looking at it, there is only 701KOR.mod (well, 710 and 711 are there too but that's the cave and the tomb, so not your issue).

Tried that. Renamed all 701KOR related files and that didn't work. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help so far.
