cdroid 0 Posted November 15, 2013 Hi all, I've spent a great amount of time on this already, and I wanted to turn to you guys before I kept mucking about. I've finished all the planets and saved Korriban for last. On Korriban, I ran into this problem: I've noticed a lot of people talking about a recording to watch from the computer terminal in the disciplinary room, and I've not been able to find such recording. Now I can't find any way to get to M4-78. I have no dialog options with T3 about the issue, and the quests tells me that I can now visit the planet, but it's not in the map. The second quest on Dxun won't trigger and the game can't progress. I got the data pads from goto's yacht, from the bith on Nar Shadaa, and from Dxun cache. Please advise on how to get to M4-78, I've spent nearly 30 hours on this save and would prefer not to start over to finish the game. I probably won't do that if it's the fix. I downloaded the files from Filefront, and little did I know that they are not the most current files... Maybe that's my problem. I don't want to just start updating crap without asking you first in case i make the situation worse than it is. BTW, I am kinda airheaded about this so I don't have a save from before Korriban is finished, so I can't go back to the academy... This might have been brought about by my ignorance, but I would appreciate your help anyway. Thanks
Sith Holocron 2,477 Posted November 15, 2013 The computer terminal in the Disciplinary Room isn;t showing what you expect because you have an outdated version of M4-78. 1) You'll need TSLRCM 1.8.2 for the most current version of M4-78. 2) The only version of M4-78 that will work for TSLRCM is the M4-78 Enhancment Project. Though you can find that at MODDB.com, you can also find it on this site right here. The M4-78 you got from Filefront is completely incompatible with TSLRCM. 3) Since you installed the wrong version of M4-78, I suggest uninstalling TSL completely and doing a fresh installation. 4) Follow the installation instructions for both linked mods. Install TSLRCM completely. Only then should you install M4-78 EP. Please check back with us to let us know how it's gone, after you follow the above instructions.
cdroid 0 Posted November 15, 2013 I'll check in after doing that. Filefront is the only place I knew of to get mods (before I knew of this site) and not only for KOTOR but also for Battlefront. It would be a good idea to get the owners to keep it updated or remove those files so other people don't do exactly what I just did. Running the fresh install now. cdroid 0 Posted November 16, 2013 You sir, are amazing. Thanks, followed your instructions and everything seems to be fine now. (game runs smoother, but that may also be that I have also upgraded VMware Fusion from 5 to 6).
