Suggestion for Nar Shaddaa

When Atton, Bao-Dur and [your choice] are fighting there way through Nar Shaddaa's bounty hunter population, I think that, if you choose to take HK-47 with you, (I used cheats to get him early, sorry) there shouldn't be HK-50s there. Just makes sense plot-wise.

Mandalore you could also use the KSE to give yourself the parts to rebuild HK Nar Shadda is definitely a great planet to use HK on, as is Dxun/Onderon--just like in KOTOR I, HK has some of the best lines in the game

You really don't have to use KSE to get him before Narshadaa,the "random" hk50 drop parts until he is rebuilt. After completing Telos go back to see Grenn,you'll be attacked just outside the shuttle bays (retrieve 1 part) go to dantooine and go to the jedi enclave attacked again (retrive one part also can buy a part from the guy outside khoonda only the proccessor) plus the one from Peragus and the one from Telos polar cap and HK47 can be rebuilt.

But yes I see what you mean buy the 50's not attacking HK47 that's why they were removed from Goto's yacht if HK47 was one of the party you send to save the Exile.

Interesting Stoney...I suggested using the KSE as I use a mod to skip past most of Citadel Station--always hated all the backtracking you need to do to finish off the quests, not to mention I just don't enjoy that level so I can definitely see what you're saying for those who do play through Telos

I would be more inclined to just not allow HK as an option there. Deleting all HK's makes it a bit too easy.

 

Also, there is the side-effect that you *can* run past all foes and they still remain there when you are once again the exile (and can add HK to your team). I suppose cleaning the left-overs if you not deal with them might work there, but I don't know how hard that would be to do for Zbyl and Stoney...

Very true. I suppose an easier way to deal with it is to simply not take HK-47...Although, if absolutely necessary, I do think the regular Gand (non-Findsman) are a bit easy to kill. You could always up their health and numbers.
