Help! Crash at Visquis in Arena

Hello everyone.

 

I seem to have a problem with an unavoidable crash when facing Visquis in the Arena below the Jekk Jekk Tarr.

 

I play a male Dark Side and had Hanharr clear the whole level before letting my main character in, so it's a straight run to Visquis.

 

What happens is that right after the Precognition kicks in and shows Visquis waiting in the arena, the game loads a different section, but never finishes it and crashes. It does manage to create an auto-save but it is corrupted.

 

I am not using any mods other than RCM.

 

I would gladly provide any other relevant info if asked.

 

Does anybody know a work-around, maybe editing the savegame to skip whatever needs skipping. Or, if I need to restart my character, how this can be avoided in the future?

An additional bit of info. Noticed I had a blank quest entry in my journal. That's right, completely blank, no description, no name.

 

So apparently somehow my quest got corrupted.

 

Is there any way to edit a save game in order to restore my quest progress?

 

I logged some 17 hours with this character, I'd hate to have to start over.

Without other mods? You did fully re-install right, not 1.8 ontop of 1.7 or just cleaning override.

 

Also any idea what the missing quest could be?

No other mods installed. It is a clean install + 1.0b usa + tslrcm 1.8

Missing quest is the current one , to confront Visquis , apologies for being unclear.

Finally , restarted a new character same male DS. Got stuck at Telos where all handmaidens are missing. This is apparently a bug that was encountered before. Is reinstalling the game then patch then mod then use an older save the only course of action?

The missing maidens was fixed loooong ago. So very strange :/.

 

Could you check how many files are in your override?

How many p_hand... files? (should be 8, 4 handmaiden, 4 handsister)
