Is It Possible to Add Critical Multiplier Boosts to Abilities?

I'd like to edit Sniper Shot so that it provides a greater crit multiplier in addition to the boosted crit chance in an attempt to make it actually something resembling useful, but I have no idea if this is even possible to do. Any insight from more experienced members here?
