    OK, so I got my hopes way too high, single player campaign is not even being started?

    Multiplayer is not working either, so in my PC it doesn't work at all, and i have no energies to fix it. =/

AM i the only one around HERE?!!? that thinks being a dark sider in TSL is actualy being a stupid d1ck, low intelligence being, that have no idea what evil is, but only destruction and its own ego whims? Instead of being a true sith Warrior, harbinger of doom and conqueror of the force and/or the Galaxy?

    I LOVE to be a sith, BUT ITS 2 DAMM HARD TO FEEL LIKE IT in TSL.

     

    You kill people for no reason, do stuff for money and sh1t... a true sith doesn't care about money or useless people lives, they only care about power and the force, i mean, if you want an item from a store, you don't buy it, you make the dude give it to you (in exchange of "protection"? or letting him live? or killing him quickly and softly ;p)... just like the gangsters from good ol'times (e.g. denzel's movie, al pacino in scarface/godfathers)... the money is just a detail, what they trully want is power.

     

    *Another good idea for a mod, change in the dialog file all the "ohh im bad, you die" lines for a more stylish and thoughtful argument for those DS points.*

     

    Also morality in Star Wars has changed in the long term, Qui-gon clearly steals and lies and cheats to get Anakin in EP 1.

    Some time ago people thought that jedis were the paladins (D&D concept, i say this because some rpg writers/designers here in brazil made so in their products) of the future...

     

    The thing is, the force messes up the minds of jedis and other force-users, specially if you explicitly use powers to go dark. -Luke: Vader... Is the dark side stronger?

    -Yoda: No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive.

    Thats the only explanation i accept for anakins quick DS transiction (they fuckep that up amiright? anakin is an emo from my pov), Revan's maybe too (in the canonical history he was turned dark by the emperor right?)

    Anyway, Vader is stylish evil, educated, polite but arrogant, omnipotent AND won't accept disrespect (or failures ;p)... like an old style gangster. hahahaha thats how i wanted to play it. =/

     

    So this is why i almost always play LS in TSL, but love to do DS in the first game, ofc its impossible to keep it 100% at all the time. One thing that i loved about Kotor1 is that you can be LS 90% of the game, and then in the end go dark with Bastila, betray and KILL those vermin jedi that stood up in the way of power, because THEY are the actual betrayers - for Revan is the One and shall not be interrupted by fools.

    Heck, you can even make the wookie kill his loved friend... isn't there so much beauty in that? It's meaningful, it passes a message to the others, shows them that you don't care and has no regrets. It's the most amazing and evil momment of all Kotor imho.

     

    I guess this is it, by the way should i edit this and make a spoiler alert? i mean, everyone in here saw the movies right? xD

    Also, as a (former) social sciences student, i know that there are some f!@$%¨up stuff in morality nowdays, too much prejudice and sexism involved, so its a very delicated subject, everyone should study it before forming opinions (i don't think its needed for this kind of topic though, just adding this for the hell of it).

     

    Edit: about the gender? i don't care much, i always played male because i wanted to get every chick i could in the games. But again, as a social sciences student i say people should play both and do both sides whenever you can (if you know what i mean) and don't feel ashamed for it xD kidding.

    So i decided to put it here, a mod that could be brothers with dark peragus reskin; Flesh/blood reskin for the worker killer-droids at peragus. It's simple, the idea is that those droids ripped appart many of the workers, blew them up and stuff... so i was wondering, where did all those flesh and blood spatter? hehehe, for all the people that like a more horror-oriented gameplay it would be nice.

    Maybe a reskin for all the hk-50 also (and therefore 51) making they look more sinister, black metal + bright red eyes? Specially the first one you ever meet in the game...


  5. I think single wielding could be improved by 2 ways; one is doubling the effects of dueling (+2 to atack AND defense per feat, maybe a IF script that gives +1/+1 bonuses per feat?)

    Also, maybe applying the dueling bonuses to stuff like heavy blasters (very good ones with my mod), two-handed swords (not that i remember a good one in the game anyway).

     

    Well, a script that increase critical chance by 1 (5%, or if it gets complicated because of keen item property/feat and stuff) a buff to critical damage, +1 multiplier (x2 becomes x3, in my mod its all x2, so =p, unless you use power atack/that jedi stance that increases crit damage).

     

    The bonus to atack and critical damage altogheter would really make one wielding effective as dual (more atack, defense, critical damage X extra hit). I mean, without my mod you get a minimum of 3 atacks in this game, 4 by default (dual wield + master speed); the difference isnt that big this way (3/4 so 75%)... but without the extra atacks its 1 atack single wield X 2 atacks dual wield = double damage by comparison.

    Crazy logics right? but i think they might be just right.

     

    Feats are hardcoded so i think the only way is creating simple scripts that checks whenever someone equips 1 weapon, 1 or 2 handed (weapons that require 2 hands dont get the benefit of dueling, or it could? if not, just the bonus to critical damage will have to do...)

     

    Edit: I just realized that if i want to increase the critical damage from 2 handed weapons (not 2 bladed) i can do it through baseitems.2da, but increasing critical damage for single wielding with duelist feat is not possible though =/


  6. I can't do it on my own, anyone has any idea of creating a mod (script?!) that can improve dueling feat tree/using only 1 weapon (not double bladed stuff)? Maybe a script that increases critical chance or damage (maybe doubles the benefit from dueling, that would be nice +6atack+6def with mastery), just by equipping only 1 item, this way, dual-wielding won't always be the best choice cost-effective.

    With that, i would take courage to do some final touches in the mod and launch a final update to go along with 1.8 and the future amazing projects.

  8. Not sure what you mean. Dialogue HAS to be in the override folder, can't think we changed anything else about teammates.

     

    me? i don't care much about dialog, i'm talking about .utc files which containt the stats of the exile allies, his party. That would be the only thing modded in 1.8 (that may conflict with the files i put in my mod), but i'm guessing its not happening. So, no compatible problems.


  9. Well, be glad I didn't do that then. But a name can be misleading.

     

    At Havoker, all's fine as long as those .utc's are

    1) based on TSLRCM's (incase we modified them)

    2) Integrated into .mod or .rim files, since many modules share the same name but with different stats... and... crash (see Nihius-Visas movie)

     

     

    Hmm, if you guys take the allies (from the exile's party) and integrate them in a .mod/rim files i would be soooo saaad. xD could at least tell me which ones right, so i could look into it xD also... if that happen i would have to edit this mod file for a compatible "patch", right?

    You know any of those that may have been modded already?

Yep, i can work with it (will have to dl all the tools again ¬¬), but i guess.. rcm files have NOTHING to do with UBM, unless in this new version the pro players from here (i mean, creators of RCM) mods some of the npcs files i included in, (or any other, like feat.2da)... i remember that in my last updates, i removed all the bosses .utc files, or most of them because of incompatibility with RCM. Now if they mod the allies of the EXILE (i guess that will not happen, since it never did, or at least, never had incompatibility) then the mod may get incompatible. I could fix it, using the modded version of RCM as default and modding it with my version for the override (right?).

    Anyway, don't forget to install my mod first before mods that do changes to dialogs and others (like RCM) through the tsl.exe installer and after HLFP 2.1 (note that improved ai is also sweet with UBM). I'm sorry i never took the work to understand the TSL.EXE installer.

    Also mee sa happy that my work is making other star wars nerds like me happy.
