also mrphil, make sure you're at least level 10 before you leave the planet and that you do ALL quests and bonus quests on the planet.  that way you won't suffer from being underleveled on later planets

I do all the content and occasionally repeat heroics I've already done, but it is true that a sub doing that exact same thing will level up more then someone f2p. and actually I forgot about that, the xp bonuses, are they just throwing those in after random quests now? and ya mrphil, its all about preference. do you like healing, tanking, or dps? I love my sith marauder right now but I also like my powertech, both for dps but a bit different I think

nah its all down to preference. personally, I really like the empire classes more. free to play players all get reduced experience gains and they don't get access to rested experience. I know cuz i'm f2p. its still fun tho. however, if you join a guild, the guild provides an experience gain bonus which is useful to counter that reduced exp thing

Edit: I sent an email but I got a ticket telling me to just check  the forums, which I did and tried solving the problem from seeing what the staff members have said in response to people with similar issues, but nothing worked. I did a scan to see if I need a new graphics card (or update) but it said I didn't need anything. I have an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

I know it would make more sense to post on the TOR forums, but for some reason I'm not allowed to post there (maybe it's cuz im f2p). anyway, I have this serious graphics issue that just started after cleaning my computer's fan. a few days ago I decided to come back to TOR after months and played. the next day I decided to clean the fan because my computer was heating up to fast. I got  the dust out and made sure not to screw with anything else and it worked, now my computer doesn't heat up  too fast. the problem happens only on TOR (so maybe the cleaning is unrelated but idk). when I log in and try to play I get these weird colored lines on the screen, and the screen seems to warp whenever I open a window like inventory or something. it get's even WORSE when I try to use an ability, because the whole screen just goes out of wack and lags until the power is done. I saw some forum threads that seem to have the exact same issue and tried solving it by deleting the DiskCacheArena and running the repair feature. that didn't work. I also went to see if I needed a graphics card update, but the thing I ran said I was up to date. can someone help?

@ peedeeboy, the characters don't seem to hate each other though. I mean, there are some, but not all. G0-T0 hates all the droids (except T3, whom he doesn't care about.) T3 doesn't seem to care about the droids and he was trying to build HK for reasons explained in game. HK-47 hated G0-T0 but didn't care about T3, Mandalore was in it kinda for himself. Atton is friends with a male exile, but gets jealous when a female exile has higher influence with Disciple. (I think they only fight when darksided), and he also doesn't really like the Last of the Handmaidens probably from still being sore from the Telos academy. Bao-Dur would follow the exile to hell and back and is friendly with Atton, but hates Mandalore, and is respected by the droids for his skills. visas loves the exile, Brianna loves the exile but gets jealous when influence is higher with visas (they only fight when darksided), and Mira is kind of a loner. Hanharr is - I'm pretty sure - also a loner (and he and Mira hate each other) and Disciple I think is too. the whole party seems to know that Kreia is evil.

so I would say that generally  they all have that 1 person they don't like, but I wouldn't say that they all hate each other. plus they DO stick together on Malachor V for the benefit of themselves and the exile and they all like the Exile, so yea.

i did what you said on KSE with changing the appearance and it worked! i didn't have to change the portrait. thank you!

yea before i did the whole installation process all over again i used the EP 3 Anakin Skywalker head by DeadMan, but it also shifted the camera view (for my character only) to be pretty low

i have a problem: after re-installing TSL and installing 1.8.2 and M4-78 (keeping previous saves), my character turned into a droid. help? i don't have any other mods installed.

I just read about HK-47 on wookiepedia... and discovered that he was found on Mustafar during the....... during the clone wars.... and I was like "WTF". So what you guys think about it?

he actually lasts until 1.5 ABY, between epsidoes 4 and 5. he's in star wars galaxies and was part of a quest line on mustafar. he basically gets a droid army (if i remember correctly, i never actually went to mustafar in swg)

the weird thing is, i think im overleveled, so the less xp thing doesnt seem so bad (and you know that when you hover ur mouse over the xp bar). im lvl 24 and im barely through nar shadaa. i think its cuz i did all of the heroics on balmorra and repeated a bunch because i was doing the whole 'you help me with my heroic, ill help u with ur heroic' thing. ive also done 2 flashpoints other than black talon, and i guess thats really good too. im a powertech and i use like all of my abilities. so far i took out the quick travel and the run ability (since thts always active), thats why im bothered by the only 2 quickbars rule.

With a more highly advanced lighting and visual effects package. (and some hilarious easter egg-style secrets) ...The Yoda antiquity painting is my personal favorite.

Dont put non-essential abilities in I guess.

Subs now have 6 bars. Which is 2 more than I even need. I only use 3 but then 2 thirds of another one on my Shadow.

thats very hard, cuz i pretty much use all my abilities. and you guy have 6 now? they should at least let us have a third, so we can have like half of what you have.

lucky for me, i already had 5 characters prior to the f2p (i was never subscribed, so they were all lvl 15). however what really irritates me (besides the one crew skill rule and limited chat) is that, f2p players are only allowed to have 2 quickbars of action buttons. my level 23 (or 22, i cant remember atm) has filled up both quickbars, and thats after i took the quick travel ability out. thats just stupid, because ur supposed to get 4, i mean even on free trial you get 4! what am i gonna do about all the new abilites i get in the future???

is this like, a star wars galaxies version of jedi knight?

hmm. i do see that she hates handmaiden for blindly following atris, but i still cant see the mother-daughter relationship between them

Hey I'm running an Operative that's level 15 right now. Is there a good build that's like a mix of the medicine and concealment trees? I want my operative to do good damage and be able to heal well, rather than be one or the other.

kreia's past is VERY ambiguous. i can see the proof how kreia could be arren kae, but its not enough to me. it could just be coincidence (and dont use kreia's conicidence quote lol). it could be because i dont want kreia to be briana's mother because its just too unfitting. besides, what about how kreia hates briana?

I can't picture kreia and t3 together. remember when she "broke" t3 and despised him because of revealing the message with bastila to the exile (still don't understand the purpose of breaking him cuz its not like you do much with it btw)? also when she mentioned how she never understood why revan was so interested in machines and it compltely defied her because they were dead to the force? also, i find it weird that she regained her connection through the exile. the exile is a wound in the force, and though kreia had difficulty finding her, she still had the power of the force. they didnt form a force bond until they both ended up on the Ebon Hawk.
