  1. The reason for the post requirement is to get activity and communication between members.

I'll let this topic continue today then it will be locked.

New members reading this topic, to start your post count off why not introduce yourself.

I'm all for increasing the activity around here, but personally I think it's a bit draconian to force people to post. They'll come here to dl the mod and if they want to look around, they will. Otherwise you're just encouraging spam, as has already been demonstrated.

  2. First off, thanks matt. This looks fantastic!

One request for when you have time: unless I'm going blind, there's no option to change my title. I don't want to be gambling forever. :(

  3. I can not remember if 90 super content mod is compatible..... i think it was not.....?

Edit from Sith Holocron: Provide the link to the mod or this post gets deleted.

I tried this with 1.6...I don't think its compatible because of its funky installation method. If you install it with rcm you'll end up with 2das in the override and in a subfolder inside of it. You'd have to merge them and I'm too lazy to do it. ;)

  4. It's frowned upon, yes.

For example, it would have been much easier for us to use Ulic's mod as base for Peragus in 1.7, but well, we never got permission...

He's correct, it's frowned upon by the staff of kfiles and similar places, but who cares. Its not 'evil' if you tried to contact the guy and you credit him. (Besides, we're making mods for a star wars game that's 5 years old. Must we take this so seriously?)

  5. I can play the game through it's own exe without launcher though my only concern is that will this cause any other problem later or safe to play this way, cause I can live without Launcher.

Doing that won't cause any problems.

  6. Yeah, that's the "problem" I was talking about.

Except the ai mod doesn't cause this problem. I just played through 1.6a with it and this problem didn't occur.

The only time it's happened I've had 90sk's supercontent mod installed, so I'm leaning towards that being the culprit.

  7. Hey, welcome to the forums.

As to your idea, I like the concept but I'm not entirely sure it's feasible.

The main reason is the kotor modders are notoriously bitchy about people using their work, for reasons I cannot fathom. In my illustrious experience, this is the only modding community where people actually get offended if others borrow their work...

I think maybe the better way would be to make compatibly patches, like the one for the tomb of azgath n'dul that we had in 1.5

  8. Those are the one I have doubts about. Don't remember why though. All the others are fine and tested.

    hi_res_footlocker.zip

    cyan_fix.rar

This one is not entirely working with RCM, though many use-it anyway:

    improvedai.zip

This one is going to put you in a lot of pain:

    Extra_Starport_Visas_Mod.zip

I can't think of any reason why those first 2 mods wouldn't work.

the ai mod is 100% compatible with rcm I've used it since 1.4 and it does NOT cause the skipping bug on nar shadaa.

I'm not sure on Vista Fix since I still use XP.
This goes in the main directory, so it is compatible with every mod in the galaxy.
