  1. I believe they've made PvE to PvP servers to prevent just such a thing from happening. If you don't want the challenge of having players thwomp you on the head, there is always the capability of rolling on PvE servers.
  2. Hello, JediExile Fancy seeing you here. Doctor finally roped me into paying closer attention to the site, and I'm rather glad of that too. Hopefully I'll get a lot out of here. Hello to you too, jjo.
  3. Nonono, you are misunderstanding me. While I'm interesting in making mods like that for KotOR/TSL, for TOR I'm referring to client-side mods, like UI modifications, etcetera.
  4. If KotOR had the game play that TSL did, and TSL had the storyline that KotOR did, they would both be perfect games. With that in mind, I'll remain undecided.
  5. Films: Anakin / Vader, most definitely. It almost seems biased, as he is the only character that was permitted from the movies to be completely explored throughout nearly his entire life, therefor we all know his character and evolutions through time more than anyones. Games: Atton, especially after he is turned into a Sith. I love the dark side when playing these games, and listening to his twisted backstory is amazing.
  6. With PAX over with, and literally hundreds of articles on the net about the TOR display, it will change some of your minds. The game looks amazing, and in no way looks like a failure. It brings almost everything I would ever want in a SW game, and then some. I really hope some of you change your minds.
  7. Yes, there is a monthly fee, and rightfully so. You aren't paying to play the game, you are paying to help maintain the server. The servers that MMO companies supply are beyond expensive, and require an income to support. On another note, it's difficult to read through all the negativity some of the members here have over TOR. I suppose that creates quite the split between KotOR gamers. Those who aren't interested seem to have very strong opinions about it, while those interested are ready to trample baby bunnies over to get their hands on a copy. I for one, am more than interested. I love role playing, I love MMO's, I love Star Wars, and I love KotOR. Playing an MMO based on KotOR is a no brainer.
  8. It's somewhat of a disappointment to say the least. The first game was amazing, and I'm rather glad that instead of buying TFU2, I rented it from GameFly. I got it at about 9PM one night, played it until 2Am when I went to bed, then put it back in the mail because I was finished. Not like I didn't like the game, but finished like I beat the game. It's fun, it's rentable, but I wouldn't buy it.
  9. Hello. I've been playing the KotOR games since they first started coming out, and have been a Star Wars gamer since JK2 (Wow I miss that game...) I'm new to the modding community, and might be considered late, but on the other hand I might be considered incredibly early as I'm very interested in modding TOR once it's released as well. I've been programming for years, and am interested in how this might pan out. Hope to see you guys around
  10. As mentioned, they are leaning towards the beginning of this next fiscal year. Speculation, however, is leaning towards sooner rather than later, and this spring is starting to sound like a more and more relevant release period.
  11. I would agree with that one, Pazaak. I'm a bit new to using mods with KoTOR/TSL, so this thread should hopefully be useful. I've been playing both of these games for years, beatn both of them on countless occasions, yet haven't found the need for a mod, or didn't even know they existed, until a few weeks ago. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll be sure to look into them.
