Yes, all other holologs and cut scenes work properly. I'm going to try doing a clean game install and only install TSLRCM and M4-78EP, and see if I can reproduce the problem. I'll post back the results. <Edit> Well, after a full day of testing, I've discovered that my problem was caused by VP's Peragus Tweak mod. As it turns out, I had forgotten to uninstall it after a previous playthrough, and it was still active. I uninstalled every mod and then reinstalled the game and TSLRCM 1.8.2 and M4-78 EP and then spent all day yesterday playtesting the game with just those mods, and then adding another mod, and restarting the game over. The problem only happened when I installed The Peragus Tweak mod, so that's what was causing the problem. Which really sucks, since I love that mod. </Edit>

Hi, I've found some kind of bug in TSLRCM 1.8.2. On Peragus, when you leave the mining tunnels, (when you first meet the HK-50), you're supposed to use the maintenance officer's computer to lift the lockdown. But there are also holologs on that computer that you can look at. But on my game, choosing any of those logs causes the computer screen to immediately close without showing any logs at all. And when I used the computer again, it came back to the same options I was on when it closed out. I only have the base game, TSLRCM and M4-78EP installed, except for Widescreen UI for TSL Mod. What's happening here !?

Kaevee's mental state has no bearing on the quality of the dialog in this scene. There are ways to accurately convey all of those points OE quoted in the dialog comments without totally butchering the english language in the process. Look.... I'm not asking for professional quality voice work and neither is anyone else, just consistency with the rest of the games' dialog. As it stands now, the Kaevee convo is not in any way consistent. This needs to change.
-
That may be, but it doesn't change the fact that those lines are just not well written, and certainly not well delivered. Again, I'm not trying to put down the voice actress or the person who wrote those lines, but that convo seriously detracted from my overall enjoyment of the enclave sublevel, and I'm sure there are others on this forum who feel the same. If it really isn't possible to redo the scene, then I would argue for the complete removal of the Kaevee content. Just a suggestion.

I'm sorry, but that's not really an excuse for the poor quality of the dialogue in that scene. My mother was a licensed pediatrician for many years who specialized in caring for mentally and emotionally damaged children, and even she cringed when I let her listen to that convo in game. She told me that even the slowest children have already fully developed their langauge and critical thinking skills by the age of eight, and that nine years wasn't anywhere near enough time for those skills to deteriorate to the degree that Kaevee displayed in that convo, which is probably one of the reasons why OE cut it from the game in the first place. So unless you're arguing that Kaevee is retarded, your rationale doesn't really hold water. I'm not trying to insult you or make enemies here, I'm just saying that that scene needs major improvements to be considered anywhere near professional quality.

Hmm... if that's what OE wrote, then the Kaevee content must have been cut from the game fairly early on in development, before thier QA people got to take a look at it. Well, thanks for at least looking into it, Hassat Hunter.

Are there any plans to redo the Kaevee Dialog at any point? It is in desperate need of a rewrite for grammar and proper sentence structure. I'm not trying to put down the team or the voice actor or anything - it was quite a remarkable achievment to create and insert a completely new scripted conversation into a game that never got any official modding tools - but the way it is written now is terribly awkward and it doesn't look or sound right in english.

All right, now that I've had a chance to go back through KOTOR 2 again with TSLRCM 1.7 installed, I've discovered some more Peragus fixes that were present in Ulic's mod, that aren't present in 1.7. * When viewing the Administrator's hololog in the Administration Level, the third hololog has the Administrator in a "wounded" animation for the first few lines of the dialogue. * When you contact T3M4 over the com for the first time after freeing Atton, all of the camera shots of the PC have the "comlink" overlay applied to it. This should only occur for T3M4. * When you see T3 in the fuel line when looking through the camera in the Maintenance area, he isn't in the camera view. Nitpicking things, I know, but to someone who's been playing with Ulic's mod for as long as I have, it's jarring to suddenly not have these features there anymore. If you could include these in a fix or the next patch, then I would be grateful.

Well, for starters, when you first look in the fuel line camera at the Peragus fuel depot (when you meet the HK50), you should see T3M4 in the fuel line but he isn't there in the vanila game due to a scripting oversight by the devs. Ulic fixed this in his mod, but when I installed TSLRCM v1.7, T3 wasn't there when I looked in the camera. I'm pretty sure I installed the mod correctly, since the launcher changed. I'm pretty sure there were others instances too, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Maybe it was caused by a mod I have installed? (I have VP's Peragus tweak mod installed, if that makes any difference.) I'm sorry I'm not being more help here, but I wasn't paying close attention to small details when I was playing through 1.7.

Are there any gamestopping bugs in TSLRCM 1.6 after the Nar-Shadda Fix? If so, are there any workarounds? I'm asking because I don't think I want to install 1.7 due to the incompatibilility with Ulic's Prologue, Peragus, and Harbinger Mod. There are numerous fixes in Ulic's mod that aren't present in 1.7, and the game just feels wrong without them.
