I GOT IT TO WORK!!! I'm not sure if yours is the same way but my game would still run but it would be frozen where Atton was talking. I took a picture of the settings screen before I triggered the series of cut scenes. When the game froze again I used the reference I had of the menu to save the game. I then closed KOTOR and loaded my new save and everything was fine.

Hey, The exact same thing is happening to me right now on windows 10. Have you since resolved the issue because I am really not fond of going through Peragus and Telos a third time.
