  1. Of course, anything restored is better than nothing! I mean, current TSLRCM state of Malachor is better than what was in original, but still lacking. I dont think Hanharr scene is very needed one, but it would add another piece into the completion of the ending. I still think ship briefing, explaining why we go alone, and different character vs scenes as well as explained "save or revenge" moment is what will breathe the most into the game's ending.
  2. But there is a mod like "adds animations to Nihilus so you can use his model as player character"? I mean, there would be no problem to add an animation, i presume? If there is no animation in the game that looks like it, is it possible to add an animation to the game? I suppose (since nihilus had animations "added") that game uses bones to animate anything, and then character model is just "tied" to those bones. That leaves us with the need to make a scene, however, scene of exploding malachor, where this hanharr sacrifice would fit... And "throwing" the Exile, which is also something i never saw in the game (most scenes have people just move around, and play animations like die, kneel, attack...) I dont know how this would be done...
  3. By the way, "having the content" seems to be the restriction of alot of content restoring, but for example, for Hanharr, it should be possible to restore him throwing you to the ship, sacrificing itself, since the game should contain enough wookie sounds to do that? I do hope that you will make a mod compatible with TSLRCM because it would be very bad if we would have to choose two half-restored games instead of one whole...
  4. Aaaah, i see, so thats what is meant by "cut" - its not what concerns you, but your allies. Yes indeed, thank you now i understand. From reading about your mod, especially, I understand alot of what could be there and was not. So what was basically "cut" is the details of the ending, not the ending itself. Indeed, a lot of detail is lost, when you put it all out. I was just confused by people saying it the way that i presumed the main storyline was unfinished, which is not true. The main storyline, however, is not what KOTOR is about. Details matter very much. I hope you go on with your mod and it becomes integrated into TSLRCM or is compatible with it.
  5. Sorry to barge into the discussion on how the "free party members or get revenge" thing should resolve, but, i do not understand how noone mentioned this SIMPLE solution: Of course, "weaken" should mean LSP and "revenge" should mean DSP! * This way, if you free your party members, and you're light sided, you get... nothing, since you did what you should have as a Jedi, and Kreia would see this (getting nothing) as a weakness. * Same way, if you are dark, and you get revenge, you get... nothing, since revenge never statisfies one's thirst, since a fallen sith only hungers for more, more, until his darkness destroys herself, yet for Kreia, this is good, since thats what she wants you to be. * If you are dark, and you save your party members, you take an LSP hit and loose your mastery (there is no way to regain it, since you dont have alot DSP left in the game), yet your party members might comment on your changes, especially Atton/Baodur who always seemed to try to steer you back from the dark path. Yet this is indeed a "weakness" to you, since you lost your mastery. * If you are light, and you take revenge, you take a DSP hit, and loose your mastery, and this very well fits into "falling to the dark side" since you might not be noticing it yet, but you have stranded from your devotion to light (especially since light is usually taken for melee classes, since its providing buffs, so you are most likely playing weaponmaster, and at the end you have so many +hit so lossing 3 str mastery will mean nothing) I hope my english is not as cryptic as Jedi speech. But what i mean is that LSP/DSP core KOTOR system fits this kind of dillema (how to handle save/betray situation and weakness that one should give) PERFECTLY!
  6. But the remote part was present in the original? And remote-goto confrontation was also present, right? It was just decided by alignment, not by HK factory? So the ONLY thing missing was "what are other party members doing while you are going to kreia through sion, and why dont they do anything"? Is that it?
  7. Greetings! I have just finished playing TLSRCM and then i've read articles about lists of restored and not restored and cut content... and i must ask. So, what was really messed up with the game ending? I never completed a game w/o RCM. I never got far enough. I've got bored the time i played w/o mods, and i heard from people that the game is incomplete, the ending does not explain anything and just plainly sucks. From what i get, this game has very good storyline, mysteries following one another. It goes like this: - You think you were severed from the force by the council, and you think you must follow "where force takes you" to regain your connection, regain your powers, survive the sith hunting you etc. You basically fight for survival and hope to grow strong enough to fight back eventually. - Kreia and Visas reveal you that your goal is to fight Nihilus who is insane and hungers for the Force, and if you dont stop him he will consume all Jedi, then turn on sith, and then the galaxy would be devoid of all life. - You gather masters in restored enclave (this really bothers me, since neither in cut content neither in base game, there is no explanation how did the enclave got rebuilt so fast?) to learn you were not severed by force, but you severed yourself, and now you pose a threat to the galaxy unless you are severed from it again, because you do not "regain connection" but drain people around you, using them as the force's source - Then Kreia does its thing and you learn that she manipulated you into becoming what you are, and has an unclear but very dark goal, but for now, you have to fight off the sith invasion - Then you fight the Sith who made their move, fight nihilus, kill him, destroy his ship - Then you learn that Sion and Kreia await at Malachor V, and if you wont follow Kreia to Malachor V (for whatever reason she needs you there), she will kill you by killing herself, so you must go - There you learn what it was really all about - she intended to give you enough power so you would be able to destroy the force when you kill her. You learn that she was one of the sith lords, and she grew tired of the force having some "will", perhaps a little mad, well, she decided to destroy the force, and she saw you as the best candidate to do it, since you posessed such powers. - Then you either destroy malachor v for good, or (stay at malachor?...) for bad. Now, as i read, most of the content restored (bound to the main storyline) only explained a bit of fate of your companions (it showed them trying to attack kreia, atton fighting sion, you can either free them or kill them, mira fights hannhar, etc etc) but thats just "cosmetic", i mean, w/o this, your companions might as well be left on the ship, trying to survive the crash then rebuilding the ship so you can escape when remote activates the mass shadow. Now, the only thing i see unexplained, are: * the reason to blow up malachor again (why is this "good" to blow it up and "bad" to leave it intact, why is HK-47 on the good side and Goto on the bad side)? * how exactly would you "destroy" the force, and why would you do it, even being bad, if you'd rather wield the force and use it to be powerful, moreso, being good? * why would you die if you wouldnt go to malachor when kreia would kill herself, and why didnt you when you kill her yourself? * why does your force bond stop working, meaning, in the final battle you dont "buff" kreia with your buffs? or was it "made" by kreia, meaning, she did it, not you, in order to manipulate you? * what actually happens in dark ending, when kreia is thrown into malachor 5 core? But theese are minor and i belive, i might have either skipped some dialogs or just dont know much about SW universe (for once, i dont understand idea of "mass shadow" yet i've read wookiepedia and i generally understand physics of Sci-fi and concepts of FTL travel etc) So, what was actually cut from the MAIN storyline? What was "cut" from the game ending? What was "missing"? What was "unexplained"? Its not like i want to debate, i just want to know, because i do see alot of misc stuff being cut (whole planet, HK factory, alot of doors, locations, scenes, dialogues) but thats not the main plot (well except HK factory). But what i heard was that the game plot is unexplained and nothing is understood in the end, no answers done, and there is no point in finishing the game. And it was compared to kotor1 which.... HAD A WHOLE ENDING CUT OUT! I mean, there was a "good-bad" ending where you'd die on the Star forge because you would be turned back from the dark side... I just wanna know! Thanks, if you understand me
  8. Too bad i cannot delete the thread, indeed the Ultimate sound mod causes this with its spells.2ds file. Question remains though, is this lethal in any way or just minor cosmetic inconvinience?
  9. Greetings! I have US version installed, patch 1.0b, your mod 1.7 and mod fix for 1.7 I have also installed: * USM (using compatibility patch from your site) * Kill the Ithorian * Finesse icon fix * Lightsaber parts fix * Ultimate sound mod * Visual effects mod (remove useless and annoying effects one) * Enhanced merchants mod * Remote influence * 2 Workbench mods (upg crystal, remove tutorial) * Sithforcepower (high level force powers) All of theese mods are marked as "Compatible" with TSLRCM I started a new game (in fact, new installation) Now, when i level up a jedi, i get an HK Factory quest entry showing as a "dot" in the list of powers i can take! Reverting to backup files generated with sithforcepower mod did not resolve the issue. Any ideas which mod can be causing it and which file can i tweak to remove it from force list?
  10. Greetings. I have US version installed, patch 1.0b, your mod 1.7 and mod fix for 1.7 I started a new game (in fact, new installation) and now i am at Khoonda. After the battle (at administrator side) the administrator will talk and 3 options are allowed: 1) "I am no jedi" thing 2) "Glad i could help" polite reply 3) "Where is my money" rude reply Now, whatever i do, i tried reloading, etc etc, it will crash on me after i choose my option. Any option will crash the game. Now, i admit using a nocd, because, i live in Russia, and not in a capital city. Buying a licensed KOTOR here is impossible, as it was when it was actually released. I own copies of Kotor 1 and 2, but they are both just pirate versions burnt to disks. There was and is no option to buy a legal copy Even if there would, i'd STILL have to use nocd, because russian companies tend to badly translate game into russian, making it impossible to install english patches, and they dont even port official patches from game makers! Anyway, 1.0b nocd is a gamestopper at this point. I got out an old nocd exe of 1.0 version and now, i can choose dialog options 1 and 3! 2 still crashes, but at least i can continue past... If i use option 1, i can then use polite option (that moves from 2 to 1) w/o crash. One out of five, any choice would make a crash, but thats rare (on 1.0b i tried 5 times and never got w/o crash, maybe 1.0b would also work with alot of tries but i didnt manage to...) Also, from my observation, restarting the 1.0 exe makes for 100% noncrash, while very often reloading after getting the dialog done (i was trying to convince Vrook to give me a different lightsaber) makes for very frequent crash, expecially with option 1. Option 3 seems to be the least prone to crashing. Is this a common bug, or tied to use of nocd, or am i first one to encounter? Are there any general ways to work around such bugs or using other exe is my only hope?
  11. Greetings. I have US version installed, patch 1.0b, your mod 1.7 and mod fix for 1.7 I started a new game (in fact, new installation) and now i am at Telos in cantina. When i try to race, at first (red light) my racing car is on the normal level, but when i hit LMB to shift gear, i am insantly in the air and i cant descend. Since i cant touch the speeding parts, i cant win the race (beat fastest time)
