Thanks LiliArch! The version I'm using is 1.1, according to the files I downloaded/extracted. Like I mentioned earlier, I basically have no idea what I'm doing. Should I post something about this in one of the other forums? Thank you all for your responses and help. Good to know I'm not screwed from the get-go.

Oh no, I got to the lower city just fine. There doesn't seem to be any actual problem, other than the Journal Entry. The Journal Entry confused the hell out of me, and searching online yielded no results, so I figured I would post about it here, and hopefully find out what was going on and whether it could be indicitive of a larger problem.

I assume it is the most recent one. It is whichever version you and... oh, hell, I can't remember their name... damn memory... well, you (FS), and another person helped me out the other day in the Chat... I'm the one who is new to modding and just got steam, and basically needed someone to hold my hand through the downloading process... (does that ring any bells?) Whichever version you directed me to was the one I used.

I don't know if this is a problem with K1R, or if it is something from the original programming. I also don't know if it is a bug. Do you happen to have any information on this SH?

Nope. Playing the Steam version on Windows 10, in case that stuff matters.

I was playing through K1R and stumbled onto something weird. I don't know if it's a bug, or a glitch, or if it is supposed to happen and I just don't understand what is going on. After using the Sith Armor to get get to Lower CIty, I went towards the elevator to Undercity. I was stopped, as expected, and was told I needed the papers, etc. After the converstion ended, the Icon for a Quest Update showed up. When I went to check it, the content of the "The Search for Bastila" quest had changed to: "Taris: I'm <fullname> and I'll beat you easily." Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thank you in advance for your help!

Finished my first playthrough with TSLRCM! Went with Male, LS(mostly), Sentinel/Watchman, and loved it so much more than my playthrough without TSLRCM. It still left a few questions and concerns. I don't know how to do that spoiler window thing that Fins did, so old school: **SPOILERS** 1) What happened to Bao-dur? I got to the return to Telos bit, and he just up and disappears. and the only thing that's said is "Yeah, where did he go? him and HK-47?" HK had, of course, gone to the Factory. Bao-dur, well... I got nothing. 2) Why did the game insist that my character had a relationship with Visas? It shoved into a relationship with her on my first playthrough, and I decided to run with it that time, but this time around I tried to foster a relationship with the Handmaiden. I treated Visas with indifference at best, and at the end the game still went on as if I had a relationship with her. 3) During the Malachor sequence, there is a bunch of talk about whether or not the General will order the use of the Shadow Mass Generator. Or is it the Mass Shadow Generator? I forget. which is kind of the point. There is no choice given, no actual mention of the Weapon prior to the sequence. There is some innuendo that "something" happened at Malachor, but no specifics until the end, and then it is glossed over. 4) On M4-78, why does Vash's apprentice get killed? I understand the death of Vash (though I hate it, she had potential, and I liked her more than any of the other Masters). But after you fix M4-78, there is no way to justify the death of her apprentice, story-wise. That covers the stuff i can think of for the moment (kind of exhausted right now). Again, overall, I loved it, just a couple of things nagging at my OCD-addled brain.

Okay! looks like everything is working (so far, at least). Thank you all again, especially Xuul. Your video walkthrough is excellent! now I just need to decide on character stuff, (LS/DS, male/female, classes, etc.)

oh, forgot to ask, is there anything that needs to be done differently since I play off an actual disc?

Like the title states, I am new to KotOR, in addition to computer gaming in general, and my skills with computers are not particularly great. After finishing KotOR 2 (physical disc, KotOR Collection) I found the ending lacking. I looked around online and discovered this Restored Content Mod. Could anyone help me with explaining what this is? I see a bunch of topics on bugs and mods and things I don't really understand, but very little on what this mod actually is/contains. Also, assuming I want to try using it, I could use some help setting everything up, as I have never modded a game before. Sorry for being such a pain, I just don't have the knowledge to do this on my own, and I don't want to screw things up... Thank you in advance for any help/advice/guidance you can provide.

And a new problem has arisen. While playing KotOR 2, when I attempt to use the camera, the keys I have them mapped to will not respond. I do not know what prompted the sudden failure, as they simply stopped working while I was playing. I have attempted reloading and using an older save, but neither has worked, and my searches online have been fruitless. Does anyone know what may have caused this, and/or what I could do to fix it?
