Hmm, perhaps there should be a quest related option that determines if she lives or dies? Since it seems (in the normal version) that she is killed while you are at the planet, perhaps there might be something the player can do to give her an opportunity to escape? I'm thinking some sort of computer hack to cause a distraction in the needed area (with low skill check so as many player builds as possible can do this). If you miss that chance, she doesn't get the opportunity to escape and the game proceeds just like the original. If she does get that chance, the game proceeds with the restored content path. It would also push this a bit towards being able to simply embed this whole project into the main restoration project instead of as separate installs. However, there would be challenges in rewriting the first part of this story so that she gets captured here and also escapes. What do you think?
