A few starting questions

Recommended Posts

Hello

I want to build my own small KOTOR I mod and maybe after that KOTOR 2. I am only interested in gameplay changes and don’t care about visuals. Sure I would love to make a new world but I wont have the skill or time for that. If I am making progress I try dialoges. Want to buff party members with dialoges, theses dialoges requires some conditions like a minimum skill in treat injury or so.

With KOTOR tools I was already able to change a few things. Things I have changed so far like buffing Constitution. I consider CON too weak. For example healing with the force or with medipacs now receives a bonus from constitution modifier. Problems. I haven’t found the text/description in the game for cure/medpac explaining the amount healing.

These three things I want to do firt.

1: Especially as a Consular you get way too strong if you stop leveling up at after level 2. Yeah its unpleasant on Taris but after that you get too many force points/powers. All I want is that the dialog that turns you into a jedi requires a level of lets say 5 to unlock.  There is a talent that gives you x force points after becoming jedi (I thing its 50). I want to buff that amount a little bit to make the jedi stronger early on but not totally OP later on.

2: I REALLY hate it if you level up you get fully healed. That’s really a huge buff in fights and makes a few key fights pretty easy if you save the level-up for them. I want to disable that feature.

3: Making the game harder by reducing damage of hero+party. I think the damage of enemies are fine on hard, don’t want to increase that any further. So is there a script of the damage calculation to reduce damage of hero and party members? I want to make quite a lot of changes like damage reduction based on difficulty, melee damage reduction for hurt characters, reduce melee damage dealt if the enemy has an equipped/drawn melee weapon.

So could someone help me with these things?
