Wrong Color Space on legacy game? Is there a standard way to fix this other than Re-Shade?

Recommended Posts

Due to the issues with Aspyr and Steam, recently I decided to buy GoG's Kotor2 and port all my mods to it instead. So far everything has worked smoothly and for the most part I've gotten everything working the way I want to. One thing that keeps bugging me however is that the Color Space seems off. In fact, it looks exactly as I'd expect it to look if my screen wasn't applying the standard gamma sRGB correction to it. I've worked around it by using Re-Shade to do this for me, which does in fact make the game colors look correct again, but I can't shake the feeling that it is well, a work around, rather than a proper fix. I can't be the only one who has dealt with this. So, I was wondering if any of you peeps were aware of any proper solution to the issue that didn't involve having to run a third party software on top of your game (not that I wouldn't use Re-Shade anyways...)?
