Black screen upon Ebon Hawk exit

Hi, I did a quick search and couldn't find this specific problem here or anywhere.

 

I did a fresh install when I installed. Steam version. TSLRCM 1.8.5.

 

No other mods installed. No cheats used.

 

I'm at the end of the game. It frequently crashes but this is tolerable. My problem is more severe.

 

I contacted all of the Jedi Masters, who are now on Dantooine. Kreia says no more questions and no more answers, we must go to the enclave.

 

So I leave Dxun, travel to Dantooine. I go to exit the Ebon Hawk, choose party members. I've tried choosing 2, 1 and none. I've changed the graphics settings, resolution and previous saves. When I select my party, the screen goes black but the cursor still shows up. I can move it around, but I cannot access any menus or commands.

 

Funny thing is, when I press alt+F4, a window pops up saying "Are you sure you want to quit? Any unsaved progress will be lost". I press cancel, nothing. I press Confirm, the game quits to desktop.

 

If I call up the task manager there's an Icon next to KOTOR II. It's triangular with an ! point, but it says the game is running.

 

I'm pretty upset. I had a good game going, every party member as a Jedi (who can be), every lightsaber crystal color, maxed out influence with Kreia. 25+ hours in.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 

 

EDIT: I can travel to all the other planets and exit the Ebon Hawk with no issues.
