Mandalore 61 Posted January 11, 2014 Specifically, two DLLs. Whenever I try to run msconfig, Event Viewer or Pain, I'm told that MFC42u.dll isn't designed to run on Windows. I'm trying to run Assassin's Creed II through Steam, and when performing first-time setup, I'm given the same message, but about SRCLIENT.dll. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; I ran sf /scannow in Safe Mode, and it didn't help. Can anyone help? EDIT: It's not just ACII, it's any game that auto-installs DirectX, even though I've got DirectX 11. EDIT 2: Except Deadpool. It seems he disobeys the rules of computers as much as he does logic.
