Crash on Dxun

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

So far I've been immensely enjoying the restored content, well done people!

But I have encountered a game-breaking bug, I don't know if that bug already happens without TSLRCM:

Whenever I want to get to Onderon for the second time, I fly to Dxun, but whenever I try to exit the Ebon Hawk the game quits to the menu, which is unresponsive.

I can only ALT+F4 out of the game.

I can fly to other planets, but they are 'reset' it seems. The map must be rediscovered, all the cutscenes play again, all enemies are back, just not the quests.

I tried to reload an earlier save, but to no avail.

The only mod installed is TSLRCM 1.7, and I used Kotor Savegame Editor to alter some skill stats.

Anyone know how to fix this?

First: did you install the official patch before installing TSLRCM? Second, did you also install the TSLRCM patch? Not sure if this was an issue addressed by it, but you did say you ONLY have TSLRCM installed.

You mentioned skill stats... Third, did you by chance add feats as well? If you did, make sure that any feat you added is not based on a level your PC hasn't achieved, and that the feat tree is "proper" - no skipped feats eg: if you have weapon specialization, you must also have proficiency and focus.

I did install the official patch, (1.0c right?) but I don't know anything about a TSLCRM patch. I only changed SKILL stats in order to create Items at a workbench (lvl 22 Weapon Master with 40 awareness and 40 security), no added feats or force powers

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit if that helps.

Ok... The Onderon crash is explainable, but I don't think you will like it :(

1.0c?!? Oh no, that garbage got another poor soul! It is a mod, made of stolen and broken mods. No sir, the correct and official patch can be found at Filefront... Just google "kotor 2 official patch." The auto-patcher is broken; you must install it manually. It will update your game .exe to version 2.1.

Bad news: you will need to start over. Completely. Your saves will not be valid after the update installs, and it will break TSLRCM if you install it after the fact. You need to start fresh. Uninstall. Clean up. Follow Q's "Vista/7 Installation Guide" so your OS isn't giving you grief. Follow all steps, to the letter, in the order given. Then official patch, then TSLRCM, then TSLRCM Patch. All will be better then!

Wish I had better news!

CORRECTION! My Mistake! I DID use the correct official patch, I used that filefront patch and my version is 2.1. I did not use the 1.0c patch.

It's sad that I have to start over though, I really wanted to see the HK Factory dammit :(

Oh well, now I'm angry enough to start a DS playthrough >:)

Thanks for the help anyway!
