I just ordered a new copy (not used) of KOTOR2 from 4Gamers. When I'll get it from mail, I will try again updating it and using this mod. Hopefully it will work out better. Thanks for all the help this far.

Nope. Still experiencing loading and different sequence crashes. Also my main character spawned in place of the droid during the Prologue. I guess my copy of KOTOR 2 is somehow very broken or something. It is a retail version but it was being sold as "used".

I'll try and reinstall the game again, then just use the official patches and see how well the game plays. Then I will atleast be able to pinpoint the exact problem better. I've been experiencing many loading and sequence crashes.

Not about the main problem I'm having but I also get quite a few loading crashes, even when in windowed mode. And sometimes the black screen appears even when I don't have the file anymore in the module-folder. But it is the only way I have even managed to get the sequence started.

I removed the said file from the modules folder. I then tried to start a new game again and this time, it got through. I even witnessed the droid powering up - scene and the AI's sitrep of the ship. It is now using the original file and not the mod's? If this works now, I will still be able to witness all the features and cut content installed in 1.7.? EDIT : It seems pretty clear now that the 001EBO.mod is causing somekind of problem with the intro-sequence. I tried to start a game (after inserting the file into the modules folder) a couple of times but it just wouldn't work. Immediately after I again deleted it from the folder, I was able to start a game. EDIT 2: Windowed mode also works now for some reason. The .exe starts up in windowed mode but I can easily make it fullscreen. This doesn't have any noticeable effect with the intro situation, having the 001EBO.mod in the folder or not and being/not being in windowed mode.

I alt-tabbed out of the game to Windows and then back. It didn't work. I just did another reinstall of the game and applied the official patches. I was able to start the game normally but after I apply TSLRCM 1.7. and the quick fix I encounter this problem.

Hello. I have the UK-version of the game and I have installed patches 1.0a and 1.0b. As I have a non-US version of the game I had to install both patches in said order. I then installed this 1.7 and the unofficial quick fix to it. Everytime I try to start a game after character creation and the movie intro, I get stuck in the prologue with a black screen on the Ebon Hawk while trying to control the droid. I don't get the ingame-cutscene which shows the droid starting up and the Ship AI doesn't give an intro speech about the situation aboard the Ebon Hawk. I am still able to move the droid around though, but I can't see anything. I can also access the ESC-menu with the assorted inventory etc. I also can't run the game in windowed mode even though I have edited the .ini file. EDIT : The OS is Windows XP Home.
