Would it be possible to use Ulic's Peragus Mod to replace the missing module? Like if only that one module file was installed?

I have played through with the 1.7 patch, and it seems as if almost every bug that ever annoyed me is now fixed. It should be safe to just use TSLRCM. Just use the textures with it and you should be fine. Check the compatibility list for exact details.

This mod was made by putting together a load of mods made by others against their wishes. You can usually find the textures on on Filefront though.

Could be conflicting mods. Try to reinstall the game with only the official 1.0b patch and TSLRCM 1.7.

Another way to fix the black screens and annoying random minimizing is to run in windowed mode. Just look under graphic options in the kotor2.ini and change "Fullscreen=1" to 'Fullscreen=0" and add the line "AllowWindowedMode=1". This should help with all kinds of crashes and video problems as it allows the game to run in it's natural resolution in a window.

It depends, if you are using the international version (a.k.a. anything not U.S. Version), you will need to apply two updates. Use these only if you have the international version.

I actually have it running on my W7 box. I found that using the Vista fix, installing Bink's player to help with movies, and running it windowed makes it run flawlessly. Also, here is my .ini just in case you want to give it a try.
