I have a GOG Galaxy version of KotOR 2.
After installing tslrcm 1.8.6 (and only that, no other mods are installed) into the correct directory C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Star Wars - KotOR2 (not installing in the override folder)
The game will load normally with the tslrcm text on the menu screen. After making a new character and clicking play, the game will instantly crash every time.
After uninstalling the mod using the uninstaller in the game directory the crashing will still happen at the same point, meaning I have to uninstall the entire game and redownload it (or a keep a backup) to try again. A new game will start normally before I install the mod.
I have a ASUS VivoBook (a laptop) with these specs: AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.30 GHz
False alarm, I figured it out to be caused by enabling frame buffer effects in the graphics settings
