Maybe it's the Aspyr patch. Try right-clicking the game in your Steam library, go to Properties and in the betas tab select legacypc. This will revert the game to the original CD/DVD version and might fix it since K1 is working fine for you. You will lose widescreen and some other things though.

Have you installed any mods? And post your system specs as I'm sure it probably has something to do with old tech or laptop graphics cards or something along the lines of that.

Yes, I had mods and it did the same thing i uninstalled and no fix. My PC isn't really built for gaming but it ran just fine before so i have no idea. The gameplay runs just fine its just the menus

I have both KOTOR and KOTOR 2 on steam, both work fine. Or should I say DID. Kotor 1 works flawlessly while Kotor 2 has a bad load time.

Kotor 2 used to work fine until now. Everything dealing with load screens or menus lags, not game play just the load screens. The game takes about 3 minutes to start up. The options menu takes around a minute to open and starting a new game takes about 10. When I try selecting my feats it takes a while to load. The load screens take 5 minutes for me to get from the opening crawl to the prologue where game play is fine and then Peragus where it has another loading screen. I've tried everything and I have no idea why it doesn't work anymore. Please any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Well technically, Revan isn't really much of a sith in the games :/ My fav sith lord is definitely Darth Traya, she was probably the most developed sith lord in the games and was certainly one of the smartest.

 

Her ideals and goals were much more unique than most sith I could think off which made her a great character

These two games have some good character development and it got me thinking. What is everyone's favorite Sith Character, Revan, Malak, Sion, Bandon, Nihilus, and Treya. I'd say Revan is my favorite, but he isn't a with lord after that, so Nihilus.

HK-47 of course... Kreia is a favorite too.

Well, ... what is there to say ...
HK-47 naturally (and by extent T3-M4 because together you get more funny lines/situations than with C3PO and R2D2 in the trilogies)
Canderous/Mandalore.

 

And you could say Bastila ... because, man do I love driving her crazy by mocking her all the time !

 

After that, I like all of the chars save for Kreia - I can't stand that old witch. Though like someone stated above, I like her too, because of her story.

Atton, Disciple (for TSL) and Canderous, Zaalbar for K1. HK ROCKS FOR BOTH!

Jolee for K1, HK-47 for K2.

 

I kinda love all of them though. Except Disciple.

Atton Rand; I don't think any character was more hilarious and manipulable than that guy. I could just kill some random guy we talk to and he'll be like, "Next time, warn me about that" and I'll still get +influence with him. I can keep killing as many innocent people as I want with him there and still convince him to be a Jedi. XD

 

It sucks doing that with Kreia, though. I keep losing influence from her because of that.

K1 Jolee without a doubt, he still makes me laugh after countless playthroughs and the voice actor is a perfect match, his moral standpoint is to my taste too, light and dark are full of idiots, gray is the way. Kreia is both my favourate and least favourate from K2 I hate her but from a story telling perspective she is a brilliant character. If I didn't hate her so much I probably wouldn't love her either.

What is everyone's favorite companions in these games. Mine would have to be HK-47 and Jolee for KotOR. In TSL I like Atton, and HK-47. Others are Candorus/Mandalore, Carth, T3-M4, Bao-Dur, and Kreia.

After landing on Malacor V what exactly happened to everyone? All I've seen is remote, and G0T0. Mind you I haven't played Restored Content Mod yet, so sorry if I am not researching hard enough.
