Okay, I am happy to report that reinstalling the mod appears to have solved the problem. Sorry to have bothered you with something that had a simple solution, and thanks for your time and help!

1) The problem started as soon as I recruited HK-47 into my party; that's when the HK-50 spawns began and I obtained the quest, though I was unable to advance it. 2) I am using the latest version of the mod. 3) I am using the American 4CD version of the game. 4) The game is fully up-to-date. 5) This is a fresh installation. 6) Yes, I used the TSL patcher. 7) No, the mod installed without any errors. 8) The only other mod I am using is the Universal Widescreen Patch. 9) The quest "Finding The HK Factory" does not update when an HK-50 team is defeated, with or without HK-47 in the party. Additionally, HK-50 teams are spawning infinitely on several planets (Telos, Nar Shaddaa, and Onderon). 10) I have not tried re-downloading the mod at this step. I'll try after I finish this post and will edit when it is done. 11) Yes, I have tried several different save games. 12) I have not started a new game, because I first noticed the bug about twenty hours into the game 13) I am using WIndows 7 Home, at the most recent version.

Yeah, several times. They go through the different dialogue about not being able to fire, and HK-47 isn't active for the fight, then he's back in the party once they've been defeated. But that has happened several times, and the quest hasn't advanced.

Okay, for the most part I've had no trouble with the restored content mod, but I'm finally at my wit's end over a couple of bugs and I figured the forum could help. Firstly, HK-50 groups are spawning pretty much endlessly. On Citadel, Nar Shaddaa, Dxun, and Onderon, every time I zone in to a location, a new HK-50 group spawns, sometimes right on top of an old one that I didn't speak to, and thus didn't fight. This is so much of a problem that they've started to block paths in some places. How can I stop them spawning? Secondly, despite having fought a bunch of HK-50 groups, the Finding the HK Factory quest never advanced beyond the second step (You have encountered one group, etc.) How can I advance this quest so that I can see all the restored content? I'm not running any other mods, and I've tried using KSE to advance the quest, but that hasn't worked; nothing changes, and fighting another group just puts me back at step two.
