If IS-43 is the one who asks about T3 doing the cleaning then no. Which of the maintenance droids do I have to talk to? Does it have a name?

You mean the one who asks if T3 can do the cleaning? Yes. That's who I thought CS-43 was. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Sorry I made the post in block capitals, I was just quite annoyed at the time

So I'm on M4-78 and I find the droid's memory core, speak to CS-43 and he tells me to go speak to some archivist or something. After running around for half a mind-numbing hour, I decide to look up a walk-through and see I need to talk to CS-45. I go talk to him, but... there's no dialogue option about the memory core! I go back to CS-43, he doesn't want to speak to me. I watch the security recordings again. Still nothing. I have no save I can reload so I'm royally pissed off about this. I have no mods installed other than the Restored Content Mod. What's the problem here? Any help would be much appreciated.
