  1. Meh, I don't use item mods if I can avoid it. The crystal trumps anything and everything, and higher level item upgrades are insanely powerful too.

Pretty much if you put enough time outside of combat into upgrades and maxing out your XP, you cannot loose TSL on anything short of Hard. It just doesn't happen.

  2. I haven't played 1.7 yet due to real life obligations, so I'm very uniformed here. I do agree that Mira should be able to have extra styles.

Admittedly with all the bonuses that the player and party members can get I think TSL needs a serious difficulty overhaul. XD

  3. I'm pretty sure that any "low quality sound" is the compression. I didn't really notice myself, because I'm still amazed at how excellent these voice actors are! If I didn't know for a fact that they were different people, I would have almost assumed that they were the same voice actors as in KOTOR and TSL in the case of Bastila and Bao Dur.

Quan Drayen's voice actor is also top notch. He got the character down perfectly.

    Superb stuff!

  4. Right, announcement! I'm checking in to let everyone know that this is not dead. I don't want to go into detail, but suffice to say I had several very nasty months were I was swamped with real life obligations and at the same I lost virtually all of my personal inspiration to write. That is over. As usual, there is no specific due date on this mod, but I will be working on this actively again and will be contacting associated individuals related to it. More updates to come. Sorry to keep you all waiting, and thank you for your patience.

  5. That was Obsidian Entertainment, who actually managed to do-it-again recently with the incredibly buggy Fallout 3: New Vegas.

Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are separate games, and the latter is only very buggy on low spec computers, which can be solved with a simple patch available at newvegasnexus.com.

  6. Another amazing update of one of the most awesome mods out there. This update, however, really gets the award: Integrated Kreia's Battle of Telos, integrated Peragus fixes, ingame Battle of Dantooine cutscenes, AND ingame Nihilus-Visas cutscene? You guys deserve an award for continuously raising the bar like this.

  7. Well, what is (maybe) also possible is the following;

You leave Kreia's line as it is and it becomes up to the player how to interpret it. The 'reward' (in the path you get stronger) would be based on the alignment of the player.

For example, if the Exile is Lightside, the bonus is in the path you save your friends while the other (the 'Revenge-path') becomes the path where the LS Exile 'gets weaker for it'. A Darkside Exile gets a bonus for killing all the Assassins so (s)he got revenge, while a DS Exile gets weaker for saving his/her friends.

Perhaps this will accomplish a middle ground in the Force-bond issue (both for continuity in the game as for the player)...

That is PERFECT. The weakness essentially becomes deviating from the path you have followed, but does not prohibit deviation.

    Well thought DH!

  8. Let me take varsity puppets thoughts a bit further....

Let's make this assumption: Assume that you have embraced the dark side, so mostly you kill and ,if in the mood, manipulate a bit throughout the game. So you reach this croosroad: Save allies(that you don't really like since you are dark side, except ofc with a few exceptions) or go ahead and kill the manipulative b.tch that has been annoying you, passing through a series of potentially lethal enemies (yeah right!...)

The choice to me is clear: what allies? i don't know what you are talking about... so let's proceed to kill baddies. that was easy as the dark side is supposed to be... so you made the easy choice and let your team die... and for that you should not be weaker, right?

    However,

    *semi-spoilers*

you are a force black hole and by killing baddies you only get stronger AND you make strong force bonds with others that travel with you especially if you jedified those you can, thus forming a master(you)-apprentice(them) bond. So, won't their death have a severe effect on you? so what happens? do you become stronger by the baddies and weaker by their deaths?remember that even old nihilus was crippled by visas marr's death,if you made her die...(why would you do that?)

Or if you choose to save them, you save yourself from the bond, yet you do not figth baddies (don't know if you have figthing involved in that part of the quest). does that make you weaker? or just the same stuff you had before the dilemma?

Except the way that the Force Bonds work for the Exile is different depending on alignment. If you are Light Sided, it's a cooperative, harmonious bond that would harm you if the Party Members died. If you are Dark Sided, it's a vampiric bond that would not have any issues with the Party Members dying because it is entirely one-sided.

Thus, a Dark Side player would have no problem loosing Party Members.

  9. Okay, we need audience input, NAO!

After weeks and weeks of continuous working, we're just about done with module 904 (The Trayus Core, and more specifically the Party Planning Scene). After this, chronologically, we reach the point where the Exile enters the Trayus Academy and is faced with 2 decisions:

Save your friends, or get revenge.... hey that rhymes!

Anyways, Bead and I are at each other's figurative throats over how the Atton vs. Disciple and Visas vs. Handmaiden sequences should play out.

A common theme up to this point has been non-Exile character gameplay. That is, that you can play as Mira, Atton... basically any of your party members. However, due to certain gameplay aspects like pacing and player choices, we decided it might be better to go a different direction.

So here's the options we had decided on:

1 - Have the fight be player controlled - Player would take control of either Visas or Disciple and fight Atton or Handmaiden until they's dead.

2 - Have the fight not be player controlled - the attacker wins (Atton/Handmaiden) and the Exile walks in to see them over the dead body of his/her rival. The Exile then has to fight Atton/Handmaiden and kill them.

3 - Same as above, just with an added option that the attacker loses instead (which would be based on... something I'm sure). Don't know what would happen after that though.

If you have any comments about these ideas or for that matter, any other ideas, please chime in. We are begging for feedback.

I think the first option works, but with the option to choose which party member you control.

  10. I was not really happy with their game tweaks, such as the reduced stats. I felt it was sort of arbitrary and should have been a separate mod altogether. If they really wanted to make consequences, do it in the context of the story rather than take away my earned stats.

And if the Exile is OP, I have a solution for that: Achiles' Game Rebalancing Mod. It doesn't completely make the game fair, but it does make it challenging.

  11. If you are looking for something that may make it more difficult, I would check out Achille's Auto balance mod. The game normally scales the enemies you fight down, but with his auto balance mod, it scales the enemies you fight to your level or above. I haven't played with it myself, but if I can muster some spirit to play Kotor 2 again, I'm gonna use that. I would check it out.

I used the auto-balance mod in my last playthrough and it made such a big difference. I actually enjoyed the gameplay.

If you want the most control over events, I recommend a Jedi Consular who becomes a Jedi Master with max persuade. You'll unlock the most dialog and related bonuses.

  12. I have several things to say:

As people have already said, TSLRP made other projects such as TSLRCM possible. In fact, it made efficient modding of both games possible due to the tools and motivation that resulted from the project.

I salute the original members and founders of Team Gizka for effectively establishing this community, and hope that if they happen to return to LucasForums and such, they will be satisfied with how this turned out.

However, I am personally glad that the site is over. All it was at that point was a graveyard of aspirations.

  13. Hello, I'm here to offer VO services for when you reach that stage of the project! I'm male with a moderately deep voice and a North American accent, although I can do a shoddy UK accent pretty easily.

Hello Zhaboka! I've heard some good stuff about you from LucasForums, so I'm very glad to have you around. When I'm ready for auditions, I'll PM you.

Thank you for your interest. ;)

  14. Nice dagger, I could use a few weapons (which you already know because I PMed you about it :)).

    UPDATE:

I will begin opening up team positions as soon as I draw up a list, but if anyone would like to apply before then just send a PM with your application. Just list your skills in modding and any questions you may have, I'll get back to you ASAP.

    Thank you for your interest!

  16. Hello everyone! I am pleased to announce I have completed my script/outline for the GenoHaradan Revisioning Mod. The only thing I have yet to do in regards to the storyline is write the actual dialog, which I will do per scene.

In any event, I cannot actually show you the script as that'd spoil the entire mod for you, but it is finished.

I will soon be assembling a development team and recruiting VO actors. If you already asked to be a VO actor, I will try to remember to contact you but feel free to remind me.

    More info soon....
