Remove 'Max Dex. Bonus' on Jedi Armor / Jedi Armor replaces (any) robes / Zeison Sha Warrior Armor permanent replaces player model

Recommended Posts

I would like whichever one of these is easiest to be accomplished with minimal influence on the game itself:

A- The Jedi Armors to have NO "Max Dex. Bonus" in their stats or increase that value in particular to a Max Dex. Bonus of 10000000000 or whatever... OR

B-  To have standard robes replaced with Zeison Sha and the other jedi armors (visually only) .... OR

C- I want to ALWAYS be wearing the model for the Zeison Sha Warrior Armor (Blue one with mail skirt) as Kiera and Vissas are ALWAYS wearing their robes regardless of what is equipped

Option "A" would be best since i could still use under/overlays and seems like a decent press of the "delete" key in the right spot...

should be rather simple to accomplish what im going for, change the appearance.2da... change the Armor stats to remove/alter Max Dex... or reskin the robes entirely.

I'm tired of search engines NOT understanding my request and sending me to reskins of the Jedi armors because NO ONE likes them. although there was ONE that i saw and liked but it REPLACED the armor im trying to KEEP 😕

*Bonus* if it is AT ALL possible to have the Max Dex. Stat removed or drastically expanded for the Jedi Armors *especially Zeison Sha Warrior* , and reskin/exchange the Jedi/Sith robes to be the Jedi/Sith robes from KOTOR 1 and do the same with the "Master" robes and equivalents with the 'Padawan-Jedi robes' models in KOTOR 2 (making Kotor 2's placeholder for Padawan -> Jedi -> Jedi Knight robes to be the 'robeless' robes from Kotor 1 and the placeholder for Kotor 2's Master tier robes would be replaced with the models for the Kotor 2's Padawan/Jedi Robes. Purely visually, robe stats would stay as they are in base game only Jedi armor would have altered stats with the removal of 'Max Dex. Mod')

*I would be extremely happy and willing to resume my playthrough with just option "A" but if you had a glimmer of compassion and a spare chunk of time, maybe take a look into adding this as well *this isn't my actual request but since I'm asking in the 1st place and I've seen it around, just replacing things id rather keep*

Thank you SOOOOO much, I've looked for over 2 hours to try and do any of this myself, cuz I don't like asking people to do something if i can just do it myself... but after my 2nd hour passed and i was just fuming at the concept that after HOW many years no one has wanted to either look a particular way (IE cool blue Jedi plate mail) , got sick of having more Dexterity than they are allowed to use/ not wearing armor for stats, or even thought the bulky robes post Jedi look bad enough to, well, replace with the Jedi armor models... so here i am ^-^

Sure, this is pretty trivial. If you want to do it yourself then open baseitems.2da, go to row 102 ("Armor_Zeison_Sha") and change the value in the column "dex bonus" to -1. Row 102 is used for all armoured robes, and -1 here means 'not applicable'. Bung it in your Override and you're good.

there should be a line within Baseitems that effect Jedi Armors like you are asking. The question is do you have Kotor tool?

Kotor Tool doesnt work on my PC... long list as to why, but that is why i am here asking for a mod request because doing it myself is not an option

Would you be so kind as to compile that for me? At least removing "Max Dex. Bonus" please?

For all the Jedi armor please ^-^

Thank you so much good sir, i really appreciate the effort. However im not sure if its working though. after installing, gave things a check, when i did the Armor still says 'Max Dex. +4' and my Dex Bonus still shows to be only +4 with my Dex being 29 at the moment. Would either of these indicators be effected when the mod is functioning properly?

No, if it still mentions max dex than it hasn't taken. It should look like this picture.

It's a very simple mod so there's not much to troubleshoot. It's retroactive with previous armour. If you ran the patcher and correctly pointed it at your TSL installation then it should have worked is all I can say. Works for me.

You might need to acquire a new item, item changes do not affect items that you have already acquired.

Nah, baseitem.2da changes are retroactive. It’s only changing a template, like a uti, that needs a new copy of the object.

Ah, good to know, I stand corrected, thanks.

Im fairly certain i directed the TSL installation to the right place, but would it hurt if I were to re-install it again?

Perfectly safe. Properly-made TSLPatcher mods can be installed as many times as you like without screwing anything up.

doing a hard re-install of Kotor 2, ive tried the installer, reacquiring the item, directly incorporating the 2da to override and also uninstalling all but the TSLRCM + M4-78EP mod. but the max dex restriction still applies. ill give an update after ive finished Downloading the game and incorporate TSLRCM + M4-78EP, and start from there...

Not entirely true, given the 2DA row limit bug. Multiple installations of any K1 mod that edits placeables.2da will absolutely break it (even just a few mods installed normally will probably push it past its limit) and reinstalling large mods with numerous appearance additions could similarly break appearance.2da. Starting from a clean install is always advisable, especially when installing large and/or multiple mods.

So i un and re-installed Kotor 2. TSLRCM + M4-78EP, added the mod, and trickle feed my other mods after that... so far it seams as though it is incompatible with  High Quality Blasters by Sithspecter from steam. removed it, and found the Source mod, installed that version via TSLinstaller and it works with no problems.

Thank you very much my good sir ^-^

Are you saying reinstallation will add more rows? Because that shouldn't happen, that's what I mean by a properly-made mod. If the Exclusive Column value is set correctly then the patcher will overwrite the previously-added rows, not make duplicates.

Don't do this, for reference. The 2das in a tslpatchdata folder are unaltered basegame 2das. The modded stuff is added by the patcher when it's run.

This is the problem. Don't mix workshop mods with patcher mods. Ideally don't use workshop mods at all.

Okay, it's up, get it here.

Is there anyway to make this affect all the armors so that I could use medium or heavy armors with a high dex build and not worry about the cap?
