Bugs and minor inconveniences with M4-78EP (1.2)

The bonus mission about finding out more about what happened prior to the player's arrival on M4-78 was left in a state impossible to complete when I did not ask the maintenance droid in the industrial zone about the "missing" turrets prior to talking to ES-05. I loaded up a save from before I had talked to ES-05 for the first time, went back and progressed the mentioned mission further and then talked to ES-05 and I was able to complete the mission.

The droid in charge of cleaning got permanently stuck outside the shack in the industrial zone after the conversation he had with the maintenance droid there. He does not go back to his original location.

The maintenance droid in the industrial zone appears to be stuck in front of his console instead of being in his shack. This becomes especially strange when you can ask him about the droids he is working on, yet he's not even in that room with the broken droids.

The crime scene with the droid that got aggressive seemed to never reset. The droid that was aggressive along with the "police" droids never left the place, looking very dramatic, until M4-78 became active again. Perhaps intentional.

The escort droids were a bother. They often would not escort me to places that I had already unlocked. And the central zone one wouldn't take me all the way to the environmental zone. I think after activating M4-78, it started working properly.

Also I experienced some lag/stutterings in this mod, mainly on a few locations. Not on other planets. (I know there's a thread on this. I haven't read it.).

I did not start TSLRCM+M4-78EP with a new save file. I may even have used earlier versions of the mods on a previous TSL installation (I recently installed TSL again and started playing after a 4 year break, using save files from 2011 stored on my external hard drive), though I installed the mods well before reaching Korriban and M4-78, and for the rest of the playthrough it went pretty bug-free.

Oh, and why did the droid in the environmental zone, the one that had changed its own programming, why did it not sound robotic?

New bug. Playing steam RCM with non-steam M4-78. Go to Korriban. Find the interrogation room. Bag is there with datapad. In active quests, instead of anything about Vash or her padawan, it's just default "Vash was killed by assassins."

fixed it by reinstalling M4-78. Unfortunately, my game reacts badly on converting files. I'm converting some mods because otherwise, there is no subtitles for items/quests etc. Looks like I must survive without it on M4-78

I encountered two small bugs in the environmental zone:

The door opening animation is shorter than the actual opening time so that even after it looks open, you can't walk through for several seconds.

And in the minefield, the leftmost mines are floating in the air.

Both are far from gamebreaking and are only mild annoyances but I thought I'd let you know

I have a serious problem with M4-78. I arrived on the planet, selected T3M4 to do the job and fix the reactor. After that cutscene apears, and the protocol droid on landing pad didn't ask me if I succeeded but he starts the same conversation as with Exile at the beggining so I cannot switch back from T3M4 to Exile again. I'll tried to use all avaiable conversation options and after that game crashed.

So simply I can't switch back to play exile. What to do?

I tried to reinstall mod, reinstall TSLRCM but I couldn't fix it.

Mods I use are: TSLRCM, Jedi temple, graphics mods (like Telos Board Overhaul, a lot of retextures, can they have something to do with my problem on M4-78?), NPC Overhaul, SLM, feats mods.

1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?

When I fixed the reactor on M4-78 and returned to the protocol droid on landing pad so organics could enter the facility. I've choosed T3M4 to do it so game switched Exile to T3M4. After come back protocol droid should ask me if I succeeded and then T3M4 should switch back to Exile. It doesn't. I'm all time playing T3M4 and there is no option or any dialog that could fix it.

2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.4 and 1.2 respectively) We only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods.

3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

4CD.

4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)

Yes.

It was a clean instalation, just after game install, TSLRCM and M4-78 before all other mods.

As I said, when I speak with Protocol Droid on landing pad on M4-78 he should ask me if I succeeded fixing the reactor and then T3M4 should be changed with Exile. But it doesn't happen and that's the problem.

8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?

Yes, I've trying to reinstall mods, converting files with converter etc. Nothing helps.

9) Have you tried using a different save game?

Yes, it didn't help. Even the older saves like those maded 2-3 hours earlier.

10) Have you tried starting a new game?

I'm trying to avoid this solution. Not really, It was my last planet before attack on Revager, many hours of playing.

11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

Windows 8.1 Professional 64bit.

12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?

Yes.

13) What language is your game set for?

Normally Polish, but this problem apears even on English version.

14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using?

Polish.

Environment control zone, near 4th Recharge station had the textures broken. Seems like the wall isn't actually solid and someway droids have noticed me and even started shooting.

I've attached the screenshots where the have attacked me and a position they was shooting from.

TSLRCM 1.8.4, M4-78 EP 1.2, only graphical mods are installed (and none of them includes M4-78).

I found a small bug with the escort droids in the Industrial Zone. There are two of those, one in diagnostics and one in manufacturing. Both of those are working and AFAIK you can travel to them from every other zone without issue, but you cannot go to the one in manufacturing by talking to the droid in diagnostics. Instead he'll offer to take you to diagnostics which is obviously pretty pointless.

No big issue but I thought I'd mention it

The industrial zone droids offer both options (including themselves, yeah). I probably can work around that if people really deem it too annoying, currently all escort droids on the planet just use the same dialogue and .utc (so no explicit statement who is who).

Uhm, no. When you're outside of the Industrial Zone and are asked for your destination you can choose "Industrial Zone" and then either "Diagnostics" or "Manufacturing" but when you're in the Industrial Zone instead of the "Industrial Zone" there is only "Diagnostics" and no way to choose manufacturing (for both droids).

Edit: Nevermind, the manufacturing is just called "Loading Zone" instead. That's quite confusing so I'll change my bug report to a minor inconvenience in this inconsistency^^

8) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? When I go to the Maintenance droid to fix the security recording regarding IS-01's demise, the exile and the Maintenance droid walk out to the terminal near his shack. The screen goes blank and the game stalls.

Hope to see someday this mod compatibile with Polish version of the game (I use SWKotOR Collection which is multilanguage).

Btw. Can switching language during the game could make this mod work properly with my version? I mean changing language only to finish M4-78EP and then switch back?

@ Master Urias: It's a known issue, unsure what causes it though, I never been able to replicate it, even with savegames received. Can I have yours?

Try changing your party composition or doing it completely solo. That usually fixes it for people.

If I may hazard a guess, the maintenance droid in question is probably the one in the Central Zone. I recall that the droids were looking for a device that may have been in the cleaning units (in the Industrial Zone.)
