    Tatooine Revisited

    Version 1.1

The KOTOR Revisited Collection: I was always a bit disappointed by the yellowish look of Anchorhead in the original KOTOR game. I don't know if there's a lore explanation or something but to me it did just not look good. So this mod started as a personal project to bring at first some small changes to this place, mainly changing the overall color to something more in line with my "tastes" concerning the Tatooine feeling. I've been making textures for games for 15 years now so it had to be a "quick fix" I thought... Here we are a few days later and this "recolor" project has become a full textures overhaul! I'm very pleased with the result so maybe some people here could enjoy it as well. WARNING: if you are a hardcore vanilla supporter, this mod won't be for you (and there are already a lot of vanilla upscaled textures mods available). Not that this mod is not lore-friendly compared to the SW universe (to me at least it is) but it changes most of the vanilla textures by original and home made ones. Click here for a Vanilla VS Revisited comparison My main inspirations was of course the movies/series and also the SWTOR game. This mod DOES replace textures for: - Architecture - Grounds - Vehicles - Animals - Rocks/Vegetation. This mod DOES NOT replace textures for: - Skybox (using the great High Quality Skybox II is strongly recommended). - NPCs - Ebon Hawk cockpit view. - Textures are TGA 2048x2048 pixels (based on my experience there's no need to go highter in resolution in this game. 4K textures on old graphics games is just a waste of ressource to me). The total size is 1.7gb on your HDD once installed. - These textures add maximum details with minimum tilling effect. On a low poly game with no normal/bump maps, tilling REALLY IS your enemy. - I used a soft cell shading style because in my opinion photorealistic textures on low poly meshes just look weird and not that great (but again this is my taste). - Hi quality Reflection effects added to metallic objects like vehicles, antennas,... - On a vanilla unmodded game (if such thing still exist): Extract the file and drop the Override folder in your game install folder. That's it. - On an already modded game: there's a high probability that you already have the same files than this mod in your Override folder. These files can be TGA or TPC (or both). So follow these steps: 1/ Extract the file and drop the Override folder in your game install folder. Overwrite existing files when asked. 2/ Download and use the Removes duplicate TGA/TPC tool (easy to use but make sure to read the description). When asked delete the TPC duplicates. By doing this, you make sure there is no conflict with existing modded TPC files in your Override folder so my textures will appear as expected in your game. NOTE: My mod uses ONE TPC file (PLC_spdrwin01.tpc) which gives tranparency to speeders windshield so be sure it is also correctly installed. - Could you make a TPC version? I've tried to convert the mod in TPC but this format breaks many reflection effects when a texture uses an Alpha channel. As I'm not used to work with this format I don't know how I could fix it and to be honest I don't really care. If a simple solution exists then why not providing a TPC version. - I don't like this or that, could you change it? It is a very personal project from a pre-Disney SW fans so like any old school SW supporter I'm very stubborn and closed-mind. It will be unlikely that I take your idea in consideration, but you may try. - Do you plan "revisiting" others places from KOTOR? I've already done a few planets (see the collection above this page) and more may come in the future. - Kexikus and his High Quality Skybox II mod which I used on my pics. - ShiningRedHD and his Ultimate Tatooine High Resolution mod which I used as a template to help me finding correct files/textures in the game. It was also my "vanilla" benchmark used to calibrate my own textures colors and luminosity. - Many other modders for all the files I'm using on my game and can not list here.

  3. I've always found the cantina a player can visit in Anchorhead a bit dull due to the lack of NPCs doing idle animations there. Yeah, there are several dancers and musicians performing on an elevation next to the bar, but there're also four empty tables without any NPCs whatsoever. Is it possible for skilled Deadlystream modders to add more drinking & talking NPCs of various alien races to that module, please? The necessary animations are already in the game (Taris & Manaan cantinas). Adding more animated NPCs sitting at the tables will make KOTOR 1's Anchorhead cantina more lively and closer to its Episode IV's counterpart.

This mod will add upscaled textures for the Tatooine part of the game. Except the skies, see note below. All textures are now 4x their original size. Example a 128x128 becomes 512x512, etc... I've not gone up to the 4096x4096 sizes as I don't see what that would add to this older game. A few textures do get to this size, example is the Ebon Hawk. Normal maps have also been redone, rerendered not just upscaled. It's still a 400% improvement on the older files. Have a peek at the screenshots and; Enjoy! Also try and spot the babies while on Tatooine. EDIT: Added a tiny zip with a missing wall texture! Sky textures are made by the awesome Kexikus get them here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/723-high-quality-skyboxes-ii/ Qs_Tatooine_miss.7z

Female Dark Jedi Restoration A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 Release Date: 11.05.2017 Release Date: 9.07.2017 Installation: Simply Copy and Paste or Drag and Drop ALL the files within the "For Override" into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder Uninstallation: Remove or Delete the files from your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder Description: Before the game's release, Bioware released a bunch of preview screenshots of the game. Two of those screenshots showed the dark Jedi trio encounter on Tatooine however something I noticed was instead of three male dark Jedi like in the vanilla game there were two male Dark Jedi and one female dark Jedi. Female Dark Jedi ARE definitely seen the game however they were seen after the Leviathan Mission so what this mod does is replace one of the three male Dark Jedi on Tatooine into the original female dark Jedi that was scrapped before the game's release. WARNING: This mod requires K1R to work Known Bugs: None known however in the Bioware photo the trio all had normal lightsabers instead of a double bladed lightsaber, dual wield short sabers and a lightsaber. It can be assumed the double bladed lightsaber and short lightsabers weren't ready at that point so the dark jedi in this mod still have their double bladed lightsaber, dual weild short sabers, and a lightsaber. Future: I may make it so a female dark jedi is in the trio on Kashyyyk and maybe place a few on the Manaan Sith Base Incompatibilities: None known Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assests from this mod without my permission Thanks: The entire K1R team for making K1R and restoring most of the cut content Bioware for such an amazing game and releasing the preview screenshots SithSpector for giving the people of Deadlystream a link to the Kotor website arhceive where I obtained the Preview Screenshots Fred Tetra for Kotor Tool and everyone who downloads the mod. KotOR I Tatooine Merchant Mod Description: This is the first mod I've ever made - hooray! This is a simple mod which will add in a new merchant to Tatooine and give him a small sidequest. He'll be in the first module of Tatooine (on the wall on the side closest to the door), and for the mod to work it is required you have never been to Tatooine before. The enemies you may face are quite strong, by the way. Oh, and there's also some new poorly skinned robes. They were mainly a test if I could add a new item, and I thought I should at least *try* to make a new skin. Gotta start somewhere though, right? Installation: Put all of the files in to the Override folder. Uninstallation: Remove the files. Compatability: You'll need the JRL Merger for this mod to be compatible with other mods if there is already a global.jrl in your override. This mod also won't be compatible with any mod which alters the dialogue when you first arrive on Tatooine or when you arrive at the Czerka Offices. Thanks to Fair Strides & Kexikus for helping me out with dlg editing and scripts, and thanks to Rece for his great tutorials on his YouTube channel. I've also added a save for anyone who doesn't already have one or doesn't want to play through the game to see the mod. Warning: It's just a save warped from the beginning of the game to use the mod, so DO NOT use it to play the rest of the game.

  10. I have only finished watching "Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)" recently, and those scenes inside the Jabba's Palace was quite memorable for me; one of them particularly is that performance of an alien singer with dancers. I thought the ambience of Jabba's Palace was quite match-up with what's inside the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic's Anchorhead's Cantina, so I decided to ask the band there to play one of my favorite tunes, "La rue" by the amazing Cortex, to kind of fits the atmosphere from Jabba's- while enjoying the beauty of the Star Wars Universe at the same time.
