READ ME FIRST! Here's my fourth small mod – now updated! Citadel Station Signage ================== MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 28 APR 2013 UPDATED RELASE: 05 MAY 2013 FOR WHAT GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords NOTE: This is the old deprecated version. Go here instead for the updated version! Description: ---------------- This small mod collection replaces textures around many places in the Telos Citadel Station – in this case, the various signage seen around the station. One sign in particular seemed very rushed to me – the pink cantina sign with the animated Twi’lek. (File name: TEL_BBrds2.tga) I’ve redone the sign – using the original colors so everything matches. Of course once I started, I knew I had to continue. All textures have been doubled in size and have had the Aurebesh font reapplied. I think the resulting appearance is now crisper. Feel free to draw your own conclusions. (By the way, all the text on these signs can be translated into English. I may very well make a thread explaining what the signs actually say.) Update: ---------- My previous mod collection “Citadel Station Signage” left out a texture for what I’ve taken to calling the “departure board.” There are two versions of this animated “board” now in this package. One is for the boards as seen in various places around Citadel Station. I’ve noticed them in the following places: the shuttle areas in the Entertainment module, in the departure area in the Dock Module, and in the mainframe room in Czerka. (They may also be elsewhere.) The other texture –with the same name – was originally meant to be used with M4-78. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to make it work with the M4-78 versions of these screens. However, seeing as I already made the texture anyway, why not offer the “dark side” version of my standard screen to you? I suppose it could be used for the invasion of Citadel Station portions if you wanted to take the time to put it in. Constructive criticism is welcome. Installation: ---------------- For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 - Extract the TGA files and the TXI file into the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic/Override folder. To Uninstall: ---------------- Take them out again. Known Bugs: ----------------- None known at this time. Legal Disclaimer: ------------------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of me. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop - with the exception of Hassat Hunter who has my permission. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use.
  2. View File [K1] Song for the Cantina This mod change the background music [BGM] played inside Javyar's Cantina. -= BACKGROUND =- For me who playthrough most of Taris' side-quests, spending ~80% of the time in the cantina is inevitable -- reporting to Zax about the bounties, hunting credits from dueling, and maybe just to crashes on the sofa while enjoying the view of all the hot chicks inside the cantina is always a routine. But then at one moment I wanted to hear something new around the room, so I was thinking; why not make one? Influenced by a mod which change the cantina music to the classic piece from "A New Hope" and a reddit user; RomMitney, whom made some really cool cantina style one, this mod was made then. -= ABOUT THIS MOD =- This mod change the background music [BGM] played inside Javyar's Cantina to a custom one I made. At the time I was heavily-influenced with Lo-Sci-Fi stuffs -- something like world of Cyberpunk with lesser fidelity I wrote and created the song using FL Studio 12 PE. The song itself called "Tainted Love" With this installed you will have every cantina [module] in the game their own unique BGM Easter Egg: The song is included in "Lower City Movement #3", the third issues from a compilation of Lower City obscure artists which is released in 4001 BBY -- Included are two installation options; MP3 and WAV format that are needed depending on which version of the game. GOG/retail version should be good with the game's native WAV format -- however, there are also Steam and mobile-version of the game which--from what I recall--need it as an MP3. -- provided as well a user-friendly uninstaller for best compatibility purpose. -= KNOWN ISSUES =- N/A at the time it was tested -- let me know if you find some. -= FINAL REMARKS =- This mod work best with Sith Holocron's "Animated Cantina Sign for KotOR 1" installed, as the animated-broken-blipping-sign gives you that lively feeling inside the cantina so, I'd recommend you to use that mod in conjunction with this. There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM me here, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! -= INSTALLATION =- Run the installer, pick one of the available and suitable options then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! -= UNINSTALLATION =- Choose the UNINSTALL option in the installation menu Read the instructions for further required actions! -= COMPATIBILITY =- Will be compatible with mostly anything. Unless with mods that force-overrides tar_m03ae.MOD and/or ambientmusic.2DA, also coincidentally file-name conflicted -= REDISTRIBUTION =- I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions -- so be considerate to not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites. However, you can use the music for your school and/or mod project or anything that is non-commercial, though be kindly to ask for permission first -- that way I know what's up, and if it's interesting enough I might offer to be involved, hahah. 6. Greetings, fellow Jedi! Hope y'all doing fine. On Ahto City there's a beautiful cantina with [supposedly] beautiful scenery there. Unfortunately, they're blocked by an arrogant wall of metal, lol. I pick up the area model which is m26aa_11a and delete the vertex which supposed to be the metal-wall so they looked like this: But I'm stuck with a platform/structure on the high seas there. They're positioned above the water levels so they have that redundant part that are shown as seen with the first and third images. The structure's texture in talk supposedly LMA_bboard01. So, what I'm requesting is: Could someone remove the metal-walls similarly like the images above and repositioned the background-structure so the upper part of it rises at the same level as the water. If they want to replace the metal-wall with something like LTS_window that would be greatly appreciated Any further improvement and/or improvisation as they [the author] see them fit also very much welcome. 😛 Many thanks for considering my request - and may the Force be with you! Update: in the end - managed to did it myself, hahah. The relevant model is m26aa_set, and the mesh is Box01z. By using KOTORmax we can lowered the bottom part of the mesh to the same level as the sea; note that I used the grid as an indicator for the ground level. The result is far from perfect but I'm personally pleased with it:
  7. Greetings, fellow Jedi! May the Force be with you all. I need help with guessing; what texture is used with the windows inside the Ent. Promenade: Pazaak Den and Cantina? Here's a screenshot of it for details: As seen in the screenshot there is indeed a texture which blends with the windows. I have found a promising instance tagged as NAR_Wn02, but it seems it wasn't the texture; as any change made with the said tag, no change matters. I hope someone that had experience with the said texture can chime in and help me point to it; either to the room model or straight to the texture itself. Many thanks for considering this. Update: Welp, of all the possibilities- the texture tagged as DAN_Wn02. Using the whereami band I can finally locate the module's name and pointing the particular mesh by opening the room model [306_NAR variant]. Thank you for all considered been made! 🙏
  8. I have only finished watching "Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)" recently, and those scenes inside the Jabba's Palace was quite memorable for me; one of them particularly is that performance of an alien singer with dancers. I thought the ambience of Jabba's Palace was quite match-up with what's inside the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic's Anchorhead's Cantina, so I decided to ask the band there to play one of my favorite tunes, "La rue" by the amazing Cortex, to kind of fits the atmosphere from Jabba's- while enjoying the beauty of the Star Wars Universe at the same time. Video:
  9. This is in regards to Biths in Taris cantina. Yah know, these dudes: Say I wanted this same model, playing music just like he is, but located on like the Star Forge or something. So far I've located the texture, mdl, and utc, but I'm not even sure where to go from there honestly. Any advice you could throw my way would be very appreciated!
