  1. Version BETA

    1,647 downloads

You see before you the culmination of eight months of effort, or there about. This is a PUBLIC BETA of a new KotOR Toolset, whose central focus is as a level-editor. This means that the tool's main job is to edit levels, and to go along with this, I've built editors for most of the games' file types: UTC, UTD, UTE, UTM, UTP, UTS, UTT, UTW, ARE, IFO, GIT, and NSS. The Toolset cannot do the following things yet: UTI files, DLG files, anything beyond extracting models, no texture support whatsoever (no viewing, no extracting, nothing), and no support for walkmeshes of any kind (.wok, .dwk, and .pwk). This Toolset should be intuitive and easy to use, or at least that is my sincere hope. I've taken great pains to label mostly everything in layman's terms and also to explain things whenever I can. Most people wouldn't know the amount of effort and time I've put into this project, but it's all I can do to hope that people find it useful, easy to use, and most of all, helpful to new modders. The documentation is rather sparse at the moment, but I hope that I (or any volunteers...) can expand on things later on, as well as continuing development. Lastly, this is a PUBLIC BETA!!! I am expecting bugs and errors, so please by all means report them. Credits: Bioware -- For their NWN documentation PDFs on most of the file formats, which I referenced heavily (and ripped off some screencaps of in the read-me. ) tk102 -- For creating the programming libraries I've used to create this Toolset. Otherwise, I'd have been lost in a lot of backtracking... Sithspecter, LiliArch, 90SK, Malkior, Dastardly, Logan23, Rece, and Canderis -- Support, advice, and more than a few talks asking for opinions on how something looked, or how best to design this or that piece. Also, most of them helped out in a Private Beta earlier this month. Sithspecter -- Icons used in the Area View. He just couldn't stand those colored circles I'd been using... Logan23 -- Initial testing and advice from the perspective of a heavy user. If there's anyone I forgot, please mention it and I will correct this issue. Permissions: You are allowed to use this program for any use, so long as it isn't illegal and is not for profit. In addition, if you were to produce a mod using this tool, I'd greatly appreciate a mention in the read-me. You ARE NOT allowed to re-upload this program anywhere without my express permission. If I want it up somewhere, I will upload it there myself, thank you very much.
  2. Hi everyone, I've been lurking KotOR forums since I was about 8 years old, and figured 17 years later I'd put my hat into the ol' modding ring. I'm currently working on a full overhaul of every single item, creature block, and description so it's all a bit more fluffy and cool (I know - a weird thing to do for a first mod. Just always felt that KotORs itemization lacked any kind of depth?) I'm about 60% of the way through, just wrapped up all the items and was wondering if anyone would be interested in playtesting a really early revision? It should be compatible with most texture mods as it doesn't mess with those at all. It would be good to know if things seem: Overpowered Out of place Cringy (I know, personal preference) Too much Too little And just generally have people to give their thoughts of what they'd like to see. Things I want to add as the project progresses: Custom icons for everything new added that try to stay true to the original icons and art style. Unique textures for any placed equipment. New textures applied to droids party members when they equip different armors that correlate with the lore as appropriate. New weapon types (Possibly models sourced from Star Wars Galaxies). Tusken Rifle Gaffi Stick Vibroknuckler Light Lightning Cannon Rocket Launcher Blastswords New feats. Unique weapons for non-Jedi party members. Different models than normal weapons - they start with them and are good early but unupgradable. If you're interested, or have any advice - I'm all ears. Discord: Domamu#1399 Thanks everyone! Disclaimer: Compatibility may vary with other mods that alter the same items. Really you can kind of use it as a base after TSLRCM then overwrite with other mods. Edit: Added a download for the beta for people that want to silently D/L it. Edit 2: There will be balance issues - it's a WIP still after all, I'd recommend downloading the Difficulty Options mod by Darth Shan. Beta v0.4a.rar

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 1.0.0 Release Date: 20.06.2021 Installation: Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe, select your option, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic. WARNING: If you wish to use Gloveless Sith Officers and Albino Sith Officers at the same time, please install Gloveless Sith Officers FIRST and Albino Sith Officers SECOND! Uninstallation: Depends on what you've chosen to install. Copy the files within the generated "backup" folder and place the file inside your modules folder, make sure you overwrite. Description: July 15 2003 was the day Kotor 1 was released for the first time on Xbox. If you've played Kotor on the Xbox or have played my Knights of the Old XBOX mod then you might be aware that the Xbox version and the PC version of these games are different, but what if I told you there was a 3rd version of Kotor which you might not have heard of before? Between 2002 and early 2003, the original Kotor website published a series of images which ranged from concept art to promotional screenshots of the game during its Beta/Pre-Release stage of development. Whilst these promotional screenshots might appear worse than the vanilla game (As these are pre-release/in-development screenshots), a few eagle eyed observers might notice some features in said screenshots which the vanilla game lacks. What this mod will do is add these features into the vanilla PC game. WARNING: Please be sure to consult the mod's screenshots before installing (Or ask the mod author in the comments), the installer for this mod is modular allowing you to install things at your leisure, however, some features might be perceived as lower quality than others so it is recommended to be 100% sure of what you want to install before installing anything. None of the features should break your game, it's merely a matter of your own opinion on whether or not you like the aesthetic of a specific feature or not. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Gloveless Jedi Robes do not receive the grey Dark Side transitions, meaning the player character will have a grey head with normal hands. The best way to fix this would be to use a mod which removes the Dark Side transitions. Incompatibilities: Would be incompatible with any mods which modifies Mission Vao's body/underwear/head texture and portraits, Trask Ulgo's unique head texture and portraits, Jedi Robe textures and models, Sith Officer body/head textures or models Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. Thanks to: Bioware: For such an amazing game Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool Stoffee: For TSLPatcher Everyone who downloads the mod! 5. View File Beta Peragus Miner Pack A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2 Author: N-DReW25 1.0.0 Release Date: 06.03.2022 Installation: Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe, select your option, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic. It isn't recommended to install "Everyone a Beta Miner" and "Some Beta Miners" as EABM will change ALL the miners thus rendering SBM redundant. It is highly recommended you check out the "Description" section of the readme to ensure you've made an informed decision on what exactly you want to install. Uninstallation: Depends on what you've chosen to install. Copy the files within the generated "backup" folder and place the file inside your modules folder, make sure you overwrite. Description: The Peragus Miner NPCs all wear the same old Miner Uniform item which the player gets to wear, but did you know that during the early development of Kotor 2 this wasn't meant to be? In the game files, you can find a texture which suggests that the Miner Uniform was originally based on the Czerka Uniform model whereas the current Miner Uniform is based on the Combat Suit model. The change from a Czerka Uniform to a Combat Suit based texture was probably to allow the player to wear the Miner Uniform without Obsidian being required to add a new 2DA slot. Oddly, the Maintenance Officer's Corpse placeable and the dead Peragus Miners floating in the Kolto Tanks also use the Czerka based Miner Uniform. From here on, we shall refer to the Czerka based Miner Uniform as the "Beta Miner Uniform". This mod has the following mod options: OPTION 1: Everyone a Beta Miner Everyone a Beta Miner will restore the Beta Uniform to EVERY single Peragus Miner NPC. This will not affect the Player's Miner Uniform. OPTION 2: Some Beta Miners This option will only restore the Beta Uniform for a select few Peragus Miners. The Medical Officer, the Administrator, the Dock Officer, the Maintenance Officer and the Security Officer will wear the Beta Uniform whereas every other Peragus Miner will wear the vanilla Miner Uniform. OPTION 3: No Player Heads Did you know notice how some Peragus Miner NPCs (Coorta's Thugs etc.) reuse the Player Heads? This install option will replace the Player Heads with Generic NPC Heads. This option is compatible with options 1 and 2. ADDITIONAL CONTENT: Inside the folder "Kolto Tank Miners (Optional)" is an additional mod you can install that doesn't require the TSLPatcher. The Kolto Tank Miners texture in vanilla is 256x256 in resolution, the texture consists of 4 parts (Several K1 Player Head and the Beta Uniform textures) which are all 128x128 in resolution. This additional mod will improve the Kolto Tank Miners but you, the player, can choose which option to install. Within "Kolto Tank Miners (Optional)" you shall find two subfolders called "Normal" and "Burnt". Within these two folders are several variations of Kolto Tank Miners you can choose from, the main difference between "Normal" and "Burnt" is that "Normal" will use the vanilla K1 Player Head whereas "Burnt" will use the K1 Dark Side Player Head textures. You, the player, can decide which looks better: the normal K1 Player Heads as Obsidian intended, or the Dark Side K1 Player Heads who look burnt/deceased inside the Kolto Tank. Both "Normal" and "Burnt" shall contain these 3 folders, these are the following options: OPTION 1: High Quality High Quality will be 1024x1024 in resolution, the Beta Uniform shall be its default resolution 512x512 whereas the K1 Player Heads will be upscaled via AI to be 512x512 like the Beta Uniform. OPTION 2: Normal Quality Normal Quality will be 512x512 in resolution, the Beta Uniform shall be reduced to 256x256 resolution to match the default K1 Player Heads resolution which is 256x256. This is twice the quality of the original Kolto Tank Miners and will still look good in-game. OPTION 3: Low Quality Low Quality will be 256x256 in resolution, the Beta Uniform and the K1 Player Heads will all be reduced to 128x128 in resolution. The "Burnt" option will be the only one to have any real difference in the Kolto Tank Miner texture, whereas the "Normal" Low Quality texture will have very minor changes to the Miner Uniform. Only recommended for very low end PCs. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if you find any report it to me on Deadlystream.com. Incompatibilities: * This mod is compatible with Kainzorus Prime's Peragus Mining Gear mod- https://deadlystream.com/files/file/401-peragus-mining-gear/ If you intend to play with Kainzerous Prime's Peragus Mining Gear, it is recommended you do NOT install Option 1. Option 1 is compatible with the Peragus Mining Gear mod, however, Option 1 will make it so that the Mining Gear only appears on the player (Which isn't fun, I'd suggest using Option 2). * This mod is compatible with VarsityPuppet's Peragus Tweak- https://deadlystream.com/files/file/8-peragus-tweak/ If you intend to play with Peragus Tweak, it is recommended you do NOT install Option 1. Option 1 is FULLY compatible with Peragus Tweak, however, the Miner Corpses added from Peragus Tweak will NOT have the Beta Uniform. Report any incompatibilities to me on Deadlystream.com. Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. Thanks: DarthParametric: For making the Female Czerka Officer's Uniform - A Modder's Resource which the Medical Officer's Beta Uniform is based upon. ebmar: For providing help with the TSLPatcher Bioware: For such an amazing game Obsidian: For such an amazing sequel Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool Everyone who downloads the mod! 7. I AM REACHING OUT TO THE COMMUNITY Concerns & Worries I have been notified no matter what happens, once I release the first version of my mod, it will be the same as releasing the modders resource which means I will just be releasing them as one and the same. V 0_2_5 is ready and I will upload them when ready. Though for the moment in both games the areas can only be warped to. I am not sure when I will be releasing it as I have thoughts about the future of both KotORs that may be compromised if anyone else goes crazy making content with the resources. My worries are that loads of different people will make loads of different universes for both games, which though a great thing is conflicting for the overall experience of the game unless they are used in total modifications, therefore I believe my best plan of action is to set up a website for The Expanded Galaxy project which will focus around getting the entire community to contribute to the project enhancing and adding to the overall KotOR experience as well as if possible adding an online feature for both. In order to prevent too many different universes popping up over the next few years that will rapidly change the KotOR 1 & 2 games for the better or for the worse. Thank you for reading and I really look forward to releasing after setting up a website, once I have a website I will reach out to the community with all of my ideas for both games as well as for people to help and get involved with every aspect of the mod. ModDB Page : https://www.moddb.com/mods/kotor-ii-tsl-expanded-galaxy Videos : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhYlUImv8iE&list=PLcla5UjpqtcwxNVK0DcHEwDry1ya9QWYa Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II : The Sith Lords : Expanded Galaxy Project Over all both releases contain everything necessary for KotOR and KotOR 2 in order to add every planet / missing module to each game and vice versa as well as an overall questline during the game for each area as well as an expansion to both games, currently every module can only be warped to with the cheats enabled in the swkotor.ini files for both games. Revans Eternal Empire - K2 Map Source for K1 ( 900mb ) 2.13 uncompressed This mod will add both a light side and dark side expansion for Revan, addingmore planets throughout the main storyline with short questlines, once finishing the game the player will have the ability to conquer the universe to the extent that prequels SWTOR. Exiles Expanded Galaxy - K1 Map Source for K2 ( 700mb ) 2.02 uncompressed This mod will add a continuation of the second game, with all the ability to travel to all the new planets during the focus of the main game with some missions as well as an overall end game addition which will add a new story focused around the Taris Restoration Project and the Exiles influence in founding it or informing the sith as well as a new galaxy crawl where the player will need to go to every planet once more and follow a trail of information to help or devastate Taris.

  9. Does anyone happen to have a save game that includes the following information: PC just finished 3rd planet, and moving on to the fourth planet. Has not gone to the planet of Manaan, even the landing zone on the planet surface! I need Manaan to be the fourth planet. I'm working on Shanilia Grey Jedi Merchant Mod, and I'm testing out my dlg file. Inside the dlg file are different scripts to check for "availability of node," I want to find out which ones work. Before you ask, I have checked the files in SavedGames forums. It's the third planet for djh269, which has been very helpful, but I require it to be the fourth.

  11. Hello guys. I'm working on a 3.3.7 version of KSE to fix the fiasco that resulted from 3.3.6... :| I have a test version ready, but I would like testers who can volunteer some time to help me make sure the thing works. I have been aided greatly be Chev Chelios with his KPF (KotOR Pathfinder) and testing KSE, but he has Win10 x64 systems and VMs, the latter of which could be the reason why KSE will work just fine on my system but not on his when I'm running Win7 x64 and he's running a VM for Win7 x64... So, I ask anybody that has WinXP, Win7, Win7 x64, Win8, Win 8.1 or whatever other version you have, and either 4CD, GOG (should be the same as 4CD), Collections, or Steam versions of the game to please consider helping me out with this. I appreciate all of your help.
