  1. Hello, I had a question. Is it possible to do spawn NPCs / Ennemies on SWKOTOR2/1 ? I've been looking since 3/4 days but nothing ... 0 mods ... nothing
  2. I have Kotor 2 on steam and when I start a new game, after the character customization and the loading is complete, the screen just goes black for a very long time and then it starts. Also, when I change a graphics setting, the screen also goes black for a few mins and then confirms the setting. In general, the screen goes black for a long time every time something changes. This happened to me without any mod, but even when I installed the restored content mod and the m4-78 enhanced project, it still happens. Also my PC specs fully support the game so this isn't also the problem. So any help pls?
  3. View File K2Console - A Console For KOTOR 2 DESCRIPTION This is a little tool that mimics the visible console from K1, in TSL. It's written in Python (I've attached the source code below). IMPORTANT NOTES - The tool does not work in fullscreen mode (for now). I'd like to fix this in the future, but for now it only works in windowed mode. - The tool doesn't connect to TSL at all - it's completely separate. This means that (for example) if you open the console in TSL with tilde, and then alt-tab out of TSL and press tilde again, K2Console will detect this but TSL itself won't (meaning K2Console and TSL will be out of sync). - If you get out of sync and/or want to start the program again, you can type "xxxxx" (five x's in a row) into the console while it's open, which will close the program. Then just run the file "k2console.exe" and it'll start up again. No need to restart TSL (but make sure the TSL console is closed when you start K2Console, or you'll still be out of sync). - This program works by reading your keyboard inputs and storing them to memory, which is also one way a keylogger might work - so your anti-virus might identify it as such. This code does not connect to the internet at all (you can verify this for yourself if you like). I haven't included the source with the program package to avoid cluttering your TSL installation, but I included it as a separate download below. INSTALLATION Unzip all three files into the same folder as swkotor2.exe (i.e. C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\, or wherever your TSL installation is located). UNINSTALLATION Delete the three files "k2console.exe", "console.bat", and "steam_console.bat". INITIALIZATION If you use Steam: Instead of starting your game through Steam, you can start it by running the file "steam_console.bat", located in your TSL install folder. Otherwise: Start the game by running "console.bat", again located in your TSL install folder. USAGE - Whenever you press ` to open the console in TSL, the mimic console should pop up too. I tried my best to exactly match the behavior of the TSL console (e.g. when it keeps text vs clears it), but if you find any discrepancies please let me know so I can fix them. - If I did my job, you shouldn't really be able to tell that the console's not built into TSL, so just use it as normal (with the ability to see what you wrote!) - To close the program (not TSL, just the console), type "xxxxx" (5 x's in a row) into the open console (this won't work if the console's not visible). Alternatively, you can close the command line that opens when you run the .bat file. INCLUSION IN OTHER MODS I'm not sure why you'd want to include this in other mods, but if you want to, you're welcome to do so with appropriate attribution. CREDITS Thanks to Thor110 for the idea for this tool, and for helping out with testing and ideas (as well as taking the screenshot for me). k2console.py Submitter lachjames Submitted 05/31/2020 Category Modding Tools
  4. To preface, whenever I create a .mod file with a git/are/ifo/vis/pathfile with nothing else remaining inside from an existing module like the Telos hangar from Kotor 2 and open it in the 3D module editor, the screen is white and displays no models but will sometimes flicker and show the waypoints and cameras but no level model is visible.
  5. I'd love something similar to JC's Jedi Tailor, but for KOTOR 2. I know creating a mod is a lot easier said than done. If there's a way to dye or reskin robes that I missed, I'd appreciate if someone let me know. Thanks.
  6. I know many different people have asked this question, but how do you create a Lightsaber duel or blaster fight in dialogue files via scripting in a controlled manner. When I say this I mean choosing the NPC's attacks like force lightning or flurry. Thanks in advance.
  7. I'm trying to identify which script triggers the XP wipe out when we finish the prologue. It seems like TSLRCM is extending the wiped out XP when we choose to skip the prologue (the original version would keep the XP). So I'm wondering which ".ncs" script is responsible for this. Additionnally my intention would also be to copy T3-M4 invetory to the storage room of the Peragus mining station as the holocron logs suggest. This might be a bit more complicated than just moving inventory as it is done when we arrive on Telos the first time, since this map (106PER) is trigger after loading the administrative level (101PER).

What originally started out as just a simple re-work of an older existing re-texture by @Constar for my own use has grown into a completely new beast of its own. I didn't like the short dog hair, the sloth-like aesthetic and, frankly, how sloppy the original mod was and sought to bring it up to a higher standard, inspired by the works of @Dark Hope. I wound up overhauling everything and doing my own thing, but there are still some design choices that carry over from his: the clawed chest and the white hairs around the mouth, blood-stained fur; details I thought added some good story elements to a rather flat and boring character and re-interpreted to my own tastes. I wanted to make Hanharr look like a feral, crusty Wookiee--intimidating but still a little pathetic-- without straying too far from the vanilla color schemes, and kept design elements within the simple slap-shod aesthetics of the OT. He's got a simple brown leather bandolier with mismatched pouches (not pictured in the photos are a last-minute addition of some asymmetric studs on the shoulders) and rusted iron shackles around his wrists, and just a little bit of Chewbacca fur on the face for good measure. Simple and clean. I hope you enjoy this simple (and long overdue, imo) little mod! INSTALL: Just extract the .tga files (one for Hanharr, one for his portrait) from the .rar file with your program of choice into your "Override" folder. That's it. REMOVAL: Extract and delete from your "Override" folder. Simple. 10. View File Train The Disciple Train the Disciple By jc2 Atton can be trained to use the force forms and lightsaber techniques that the PC learns on his/her journey, however, the Disciple cannot. At a loss for why this would not be, jc2 has undertaken an effort to rebalance this issue. Keeping in mind the sister mod, Train the Handmaiden, which set out in 2017, nearly 2 years prior to address the same issue for the Handmaiden, jc2 has come full circle. Therefore, it is the entire effort of this mod to allow the PC to train the Disciple in all 7 of the lightsaber forms, four force forms, and three force techniques. Lightsaber techniques: Ataru Form -Juyo Form - Shii Cho Form - Soresu Form - Makashi Form - Niman Form - Shien Form Force forms: Force Potency Form- Force Mastery Form -Force Focus Form - Force Affinity Force techniques: Breath Control - Beast Trick -- Force Sight The PC must have learned these techniques in order to train the Disciple on them. Incompatibilities: None so far. Compatible with Party Swap & any mod that edits disciple.dlg, because Train the Disciple does not edit disciple.dlg in any way. Files used: jc2_coms.uti, deadmerc_cont.utp (Dantooine corpses within Enclave next to Statue), jc2_disciple.dlg, spells.2da & globalcat.2da (correctly patched with tslpatcher). Installation: Run Tslpatcher See Readme for further details and information, before installing. Credits: Sith Holocron for VO splicing Deadlystream for hosting & Tyvokka for hosting deadlystream! This mod aims to fix all* the stretching that occurs in widescreen (16:9) resolutions. There have already been other mods to fix the main HUD, but there are a lot of other elements in the game that are in need of correction, such as the pause menu, galaxy map, loading screens, etc. *For now, I recommend that you download "Widescreen UI Fix for Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords" by Achilles to fix the HUD, and combine it with this mod to un-stretch everything else. I have included my own experimental version of a 16:9 HUD, but right now I think most people would prefer Achilles' version.

*Notice*: This mod is not my own work and is being uploaded to Deadlystream with the permission of the original mod author. After having reached out to Evasto via email, I can confirm his approval via the following: "...if you want to upload it to Deadlystream.com you're more than welcome to. I haven't done anything with KOTOR in a very long time so while I have revisited Luke's lightsaber since then, it was for a Fallout 4 mod rather than KOTOR. If I ever go back to KOTOR I might use the models & textures I made for Fallout 4 to update the mod (as well as the ROTJ Vader), in which event I'd upload 'em to the Nexus, but who knows when or if that'll happen." Information of note: This mod contains files that work in BOTH Kotor 1 and TSL. Each version of the hilt has a folder included with files for installing in TSL. Please see the installation instructions for more information. The following description is taken from the Readme file included: DESCRIPTION: "This mod is quite possibly one of the more ambitious mods I have made to date. This hilts in this pack belong to our favorite Jedi, Luke Skywalker, who built a new lightsaber following the loss of his father's at Cloud City. This mod doesn't, however, deliver just one hilt. You get three (four, counting a texture variant) variations of the familiar lightsaber wielded by Luke. All three replace the green lightsaber, and also comes with a new green blade texture for your enjoyment. Oh, but wait, that's not all! All three of these hilts have a TSL Version, so you can enjoy these hilts in both KOTOR 1 and 2. Also, for the first variant, I've included an alternate texture which makes the usually copper neck black, giving you essentially four lightsabers to play with. Enjoy the mod!" INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Place the necessary files into your KOTOR 1 or KOTOR 2 Override folder. Keep in mind, these hilts overwrite the default green hilt so you can only have one at a time. Just choose the one you like and extract the proper files to the correct Override folder. (The TSL compatible versions are filed into their own folder, so if you want to use one for TSL, just take the hilt's TSL Version files and pop them into the KOTOR 2 Override folder.) If you don't have an Override folder, be sure to make one. Also, when extracting the files, make sure "Use Folder Names" is unchecked or else the files will be extracted into a seperate folder." 18. Including mods and the use of the KOTOR Tool. Does anyone know whether it is possible? I tried searching the internet. I tried modding myself. This force power is so stubborn that even making all force power not restricted by armor doesn't make work at all!!!

A mod for people who like the clean look of the original TSL logo, but also want reasonable clear graphics suited for a widescreen setup. This started as a few modifications to the TSL logo for my own use, trying to see what worked best. I started with the high-resolution version of the TSL logo used by DarthParametric for the KOTOR 2 Community Patch (K2CP). I then resized it a few times, recentered and reoriented it a few times, and took screenshots as I went to compare. This is *not* a widescreen mod. This is a logo replacer intended for people who are already using a widescreen mod like UniWS. (Check out the subreddit mod build and follow the directions!) I am personally using a 1920x1080 widescreen setup with the Steam patch of the game. I cannot guarantee your results will look like mine. Install Instructions: - Download and unzip the mod. - Look through the 'screenshots' folder to compare the different options and pick one for yourself. - Find your chosen folder, copy the image (KOTOR2logo.tga) file within that folder, and paste it to your Override folder in KOTOR 2. If none of the options work for you, I've also included the raw source files so you can easily make your own. ------------- How to Make Your Own: - Download and unzip the mod - Look through the 'source files' folder and open the raw logo.png file in your preferred photo editor (I use paint.net) - Resize the base image as desired. - Select the whole image, deselect all 100% transparent pixels, copy - Open whatever KOTOR2logo.tga file you wish to use as a reference; create a new layer on that image. - Paste the raw logo image onto the new layer, then move it around to the desired location. - Delete the original layer and 'Save As' a new logo file (ideally in a new folder) - Copy that new KOTOR2logo.tga file to 'Override' and start the game to see how it looks. ------------- Credits: My thanks to DarthParametric for making the original K2CP logo image available to me via Discord.
