  5. I found a mod that converts all sith troopers in KOTOR 1 into stormtroopers. Is there a way to 1.) design the armor from SWTOR of the Republic trooper and Sith trooper and get them in game and 2.) make a mod that replaces all KOTOR Republic troopers with SWTOR Republic troopers and do the same for the Sith.
  6. I recently had somebody reach out to me asking if I had a copy of an old Mod, which I do (I think... :-P ), and if I could send it to them. I've already looked in several places (including the gamefront Archive and Nexus) and cannot find a copy of it anywhere, including from where I originally found it. I'm pretty sure that the author is a current member of this site, but hasn't logged into DS in over a year. Since I'm a little unclear on the exact "rules", thought I'd ask the community - what are the rules of sharing and/or sending a copy of other's mods as long as I am NOT taking any credit or ownership of said mod?   8. Well, I think we can all agree with the fact that Kex's skyboxes are amazing, but he needs a break. So I've decided to take up the mantle to do TSL Skyboxes. Instead of using Terragen, I am using VUE Esprit because it is much easier to learn and use, and render with any kind of resolution. Here's some before and after of Onderon. The one thing that I wanted to do was to add Dxun to the sky mainly because we hear those two are a close shuttle ride apart and I was always wondering why it never showed up in the sky.   11. I'm using a lot of mods, I didn't keep a record of them but they could be like 60 or 75% of the mods here on DeadlyStream for K1, plus some other mods. I was wondering where can I find a crash log (to troubleshoot it on my own) or if anyone else has encountered this same problem or crash. As it says in the title it crashes at the student scene when entering Korriban for the first time. (The one in which the sith master was shouting at some students, if I remember correctly). I would appreciate if someone helped me with this, because I don't want to lose my savegames. Thanks.
  12. Med Scanner / Droid Diagnostic View File This is a mod for Knights of the Old Republic*. It adds two items to the game: a Med Scanner and Droid Diagnostic. While they both do the same thing, the droid diagnostic is only for droids, and the med scanner is only for organic meatbags-- errr, I mean people. When the item is used, it will display how many vitality points the character is down. It will also display how many points would be restored by various means available to the character. This is, of course, based on the character's current stats. The info will be in your Feedback log. * I don't have The Sith Lords & have no idea if this mod would work in it. Also, while I believe this is compatible with K1R, I'm not absolutely certain of it (I have K1R installed & have had no issues between it & my mod).   13. Hello, I have recently acquired KOTOR via Steam, and only a few days ago, I decided to install a couple of mods to enhance the game. I only have three mods, being Space Alex's K1 Enhancement pack (Restored Content) and Invisible head fix, and Weapon remodel/texture fixes by Fallen Guardian and Toasty Fresh. One problem I had immediately was when I was in the Black Vulkar Base, I was unable to access the Sub-level as whenever I attempted to use the security terminal, it would say there was a conversation node error. I had to resort to using a couple of warp codes to advance through the quest, yet I found myself in another rut yesterday. I'm at the Swoop Race track, and every time I get ready for a race, I get a message from someone who was added with the mod, as she would say some details about the Prototype accelerator. After she finishes, the screen would go black, but nothing happens after that. All I'm able to do is click on the screen, and a majority of the time, I end up talking to the race announcer again to plan my race. I tried to use the save editor to advance myself manually to say I won the race, but it didn't work. Is there a way to fix this without having to reinstall the game? Thanks in advance!
  14. I used to mod KotOR years ago... Now I've just gotten this game again on steam and want to do some modddzzz but seriously have no clue how to even start. I don't remember the first thing about it anymore. If I could hire someone to come over and just do it for me, I would! haha! If anyone would be so kind/patient as to help me! I'm most interested in KSE. When I download it, and open it up...it's just a bunch of nonsense. I open it in wordpad or adobe reader and it's a bunch of 0's and letters. Is there something I need to download first before I do KSE? I'm literally at step one here with little to no knowledge on mods. I don't know how I did this all myself years ago! Thanks to anyone who is able to help!
  15. I just tried an interesting experiment..and it worked. I have had an old Retail copy of KOTOR (With the original discs!!!) that's installed with all kinds of awesome MODS. I just purchased the GOG Saber Package . Somewhere I had read a forum asking if the games could be installed multiple times so that Full Re-Write mods (like RoR & The Jedi Masters) could be installed alongside without totally overwriting their normal game. Couldn't be done because you'd have to be able to tell the registry that they were separate games with different names. Except that I just did it with the GOG copy using GOG Galaxy. My Retail copy: Installed to C:\Star Wars\SWKotor2\ The GOG Copy I let install to it's default, which seems to write it's own unique GOG registry entries. I tested - launched my retail copy with a save, there it was. Launched GOG version - and it's VANILLA!!! I don't know if this will work with a Retail copy and a Steam copy too. Let me know if this is actually a breakthrough or if this is common knowledge!!! It's happened before and it's okay to point that out that somewhere else is a much more informative thread!!!
  16. I am looking for answers to these 3 questions: 1. I am looking for a tutorial in how to create and implement custom armbands into the game (TSL preferred not a big deal if for KOTOR) 2. Is there an NW plugin for a later version of 3ds Max? I may be getting a temp license now that I'm in official "Student" status again, but the NW Max Plug in download specifically says 3ds version 8 or lower and this site is only for the newest release (3ds Max 2015 or 2016)... and Gmax has been a little glitchy for me lately. Either that, or I don't have any idea what I'm doing... which is likely (if not certain) 3. I'm stuck again in KOTOR... this time I am in a fight with an NPC in which there is a glitch in that they cannot lose any HP, so I can't defeat them and move on. Weird, random glitch. (took me about 10 minutes or so the first time to realize that they couldn't possibly be that much of a bad-ass...) I've tried deleting all of this character's DLG & UTC files out of override, hoping... no change. - I do have a save point from not too far before this point, but I was hoping to just FIX it cuz I don't need the item that badly... Also, what is the air-speed velocity of an un-laden swallow?
  17. Any help or suggestions would be great, messed up my own game. Playing KOTOR1 w/ LS (first run through as LS). I'm pretty sure I messed it up myself by installing an incompatible mod. I am stuck at the part where the EbonHawk is first captured by the Leviathan and your entire crew is standing in the middle of the ship getting ready to go. I can't get past that, the next part of the story won't trigger. No ability to leave the Ebon Hawk. Also, all of the shipboard items are gone (workbench, cargo bay containers, etc). Is there a file that can be modified, or someplace in KSE that I can trigger the next phase? If not, then I'm seriously looking at reinstalling my game and starting over.... So yes...any help to NOT get to that point would be great, cuz I'll be looking at hours of reinstalling all those awesome compatible mods... Thanks guys!!!

  19. I have recently started adding mods to my KotOR TSL game (beyond RCM which I've had for some time). I initially jumped in without reading into it and completely FUBAR'd my game, so I restored local content and created a backup of this once I confirmed it was working fine again. I then took it slowly, and found that the first few mods I integrated used the TSL patcher, and upon testing the game was fine. I created an updated backup of the game at a working point with the mods I had so far installed.* I then went ahead and installed some more mods, some of these explained that they just needed to be dropped into the override folder, which I did with no conflicts in file names. When I loaded the game again, it crashed as soon as I went through a loading door to a new area. (When this happens it boots me back to the title screen and the buttons are unresponsive, I then have to end the process through task manager). If I remove just the files I had added for the mod and load the game again, the issue remains. I then have to delete all the items out of the SWKotOR 2 folder and paste in a copy of the backup for this to work. (Even though the files are exactly the same as if I had removed the mod out myself) This, I have found, only occurs with some files, such as a vibrosword reskin mod and an enhanced beams reskin mod. However other mods such as BaoDur's repulsor reskin also add to the override and cause no issues.   20. Hi everyone! So as I guess you may be able to tell, I'm fairly new around here and the modding scene / community in general. I have however always wanted to do modding however, I've never had the equipment for it. But I have a computer now and thought "Why not?" However though as I have never created a mod before I have absolutely no idea how to do it and I know that I will have to start very basic, such as a texture mod or maybe a skin mod even. So I was wondering if anyone could help me out on how to do it, what programs would be needed and so forth. So if anyone did have any help that they could give, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
  21. To our fine moderators: Just an open ended question... I have installed some area re-textures and have had some transparency issues. After taking a closer look, I realized that all of the textures w/ Alpha channels have no designated .TXI file that goes with them. Now, I've manually created txi's every time I realize that this is happening, which is a shotgun "fix" in that now the walls/doors/shiny stuff is no longer transparent. This raises a couple of notes: 1. To create the txi's, I basically just saved a bunch of text files as .txi's w/ CM_Baremetal. Not the most beautiful fix, but it "worked". 2. I really want to use the cubemap that the modder had intended to use initially as CM_baremetal is WAY too general and probably inappropriate to use with every texture. I have been unable to reach this modder via messaging on a couple of different mod sites. 3. If this IS a "fix", what are the rules against releasing "fixes" or download-packs to address this for other modders' work? - for example, if I have a folder full of txi's that I want to release for people to use (assuming I'm not the only one with this issue), and am unable to contact the original modder, am I allowed to release something like this? Excuse me if my post is not clear, I can go into all kinds of details if anybody has specific questions. And NO, this is NOT regarding the newer area re-textures released within the last 6 months, so Deadly Stream modders need not worry at this time. :-) Thanks for taking the time! LOVE this site!!!

First, images for use as icon files, depicting one (blue) Jedi holocron and one Sith holocron. Second, it contains two placeable files and accompanying textures, for one (blue) Jedi holocron and one Sith holocron, on pedestals. There are versions of these models for KotOR I and KotOR II. N.B.: This is not a mod. Placing these files in your Override folder on their own will have no effect on your game whatsoever. Permissions You may use and modify these files however you wish in any mod that you wish, with three conditions: First, you must credit me in the Readme file or other mod descriptions (i.e., TSLPatcher info.rtf, or the file description online) as the original author of these files. Second, you must include a copy of this readme file with any mod released containing any or all of these resources. Third, that you may not reupload these files, unaltered and on their own, to any website without my expressed, written permission. This does not mean you need my permission to include them in a mod, or to upload modified versions, I just don't want this modder's resource mirrored all over the web without my knowledge. Known Bugs/Issues - The Sith holocron pedestal has some UV map issues. Attempts to fix this only broke the holocron model itself.   24. Does anybody know where I can get a cubemap for a Drexl? I'm working on some textures and I feel that this is the biggest thing missing. I was about to download the Modders' Resource Cubemap Pack but I wanted to make sure first. Plus, I don't have a clue on how to build one myself... Thanks!

I edited the fourth female Asian head option's texture to have darker hair, a white and gold ribbon instead of a dark orange one, darker and more brown eyes, thicker eyebrows, and a more natural lip color.
